ITS A PEPERO-DAY MIRACLE!

Today Kiko went home to her forever home!

October 29, 2012

Hi! As Kiko's roommate, let me fill you in on some of her hobbies, habits, likes and dislikes. (She's terrible at typing.)

We are thrilled to find that she is an ideal roommate. She never wakes us up in the night or even in the morning. She patiently waits for the whole house to wake up before getting excited. Of course, she's always super ready to head out on a walk first thing in the morning. She doesn't seem to be too used to walking on a leash; it's our theory that her first owners didn't take her out, and perhaps weren't the nicest people, either. Kiko is far too polite to discuss any of it. She does her best to walk well with us, and she definitely can keep up the pace! Sometimes the cars and buses on the street overwhelm her and she needs a minute to collect herself, but after we pet her for a moment, she's ready to go again. She enjoys a short morning stroll and a longer walk in the evening.

At home she is neat and tidy and considerate. We've found that after being told "No" once, she thoughtfully stops right away. She hasn't chewed on anything, stolen anything, or, um... relieved herself in an inappropriate place. She looks a bit displeased right now that we would even consider that she could possibly be so rude. She is completely house-trained, and always waits so patiently to be taken outside to do her business.

She really is a great companion at home. She'll simply curl up quietly in whatever room we're in, ready to have a nice chat or just watch us while we work. Of course, when we start to move about, she shows us that she's ready to party if we are by dancing around on her hind legs. We call this a Kiki. Look it up :)

Overall, this dog is extremely easy and pleasant to have around. Whoever takes her home forever will need to be gentle with her and be patient when she gets overwhelmed by the big bright world. Most of the time, though, Kiko is chilled out and sweet, happy to curl up next to you and nibble on a treat, gossip about your day, and dance to your music.

Cheers!

Kiko has arrived in Daegu! This little girl has had a big day. This morning she said an adventurous "Why not?" to a road trip to Daegu with a couple of strangers. She proved to be an excellent road trip buddy, sitting up straight on a lap and eagerly looking out the window.

Kiko was rescued about a year ago in Boeun, where she has been living the dorm life in the KAPS shelter there. She finally made it known that she yearned for city life, and managed to find a nice couple who were hoping to take on a roommate of the small dog variety.

Her ultimate goal is to hit the big-time by finding a family to belong to forever. Her roommates are certain she'll succeed. They've already noticed she's extremely talented, picking up on "following around the humans," "taking the baths," "eating the foods," and "being adorable." You'll definitely want to stay tuned.. for the Adventures of Kiko the Kiki Monster Extraordinaire!!
