<3/18/2013> Kami left Korea on March 18th to meet her mom in Vancouver! Thank everyone for helping Kami to get there. Without your help, she would not be able to make it. Kami must be very happy to see her old kennel-mate Juno :)

<3/15/2013> Kami recovered well from spaying.
We are looking for a courier URGENTLY(from Seoul to Vancouver). If anyone would like to help or have questions, should contact at [email protected].

<2/11/2013> Kami got spayed, and is recovering from it at the shelter :) She is doing very well♡

<1/15/2013> Kami needs foster home ASAP! She is going to Vancouver in Feb to meet her old kennelmate Juno and her forever mom :) So please consider fostering her for a month so that she can recover from her spaying surgery!

<1/13/2013> Kami was so excited for walk! :)

<1/08/2013> Kami is still waiting for foster/forever home at the shelter.

<11/26/2012> Kami got health check ;D Thank you very much for helping her!
Health status: healthy, about 18kg(40lb), DHPPL, rabies, kennel cough and corona virus vaccinations (November, 2012), heartworm negative, blood test in normal.

Kami is a gentle girl who likes to play with people and other dogs.
She was rescued from a dog farm in Si-hueng, Gyeonggido.
She came to the shelter with Juno(A.K.A Polar bear) who was adopted recently to Canada.

Kami is Samoyed mixed even though she is black!
She does not look pretty that much on the picture, but she is very cute and lovely when you meet her in the shelter.
The picture cannot depict her cuteness :)
I guarantee she would be more gorgeous if she got some care and love from foster/forever family!

She weighs about 18kg(40lb), and I don't think she is spayed.
Once you pay the adoption fee, which is 100000KRW($91) , that will cover her spay fee!

Please help Kami get out of the shelter :D

Adoption Fee: ₩100,000
Location: Yangju - 양주
Living Situation: In a shelter

Some lovely pictures of Kami by Ben Robins :)

Kami is very sweet. She's shy, but give her a little bit of time, and she will warm up to you.

Thank you Ula for posting those awesome pictures for Kami :D

We tried to take Kami out for a walk but her roomie wouldn't go out, so we had to forego it. She was a bit shy at first, but soon after let me put a leash on her and I decided to warm her up to it. So we just walked her on the leash inside her kennel for a bit, to get her used to it. Next time, we will take her out; she seems curious to go :)

We would like to thank Y., Sarah, Dairin and Kieran and their friends for sponsoring Kami's health check!
Kami was taken to the vet: DHPPL and rabies vaccinations are done, heartworm test is done (negative!), blood test is done. She is healthy!

Please consider adopting this beautiful lady!

Kami ^^

(Sorry for the poor picture quality; Kami gets all excited with people around and can't sit still long enough for me to do get a good photo op.)

Wow, I am truly amazed by this beautiful girl. She has the most amazing temperament. I never hear her bark, I've never seen her be aggressive. She's a little bit shy but it only takes a few seconds for her to warm up and then she is just loving any attention she gets. I'm not sure if she's been taken out on a walk ever, but I put her harness on with no problem; this is strange because she was from a dog farm and yet she seems like she was someone's pet. I put her leash on and we were off. NO pulling; she heeled! And if there was any pulling, the slightest pull back and she would correct herself; it was amazing. She was so happy to be outside and getting to explore and stretch her legs. She's fine with passing cars and people and she is so doting. She would look back every few steps to make sure I was still there or something, and if I stopped, she would automatically sit by my side! We walked to the nearby park and I started petting her and she just automatically rolled over onto her back and so I gave her a belly rub which she LOVED. This is honestly such an amazing girl, and I know she will transition so easily into a home. I cannot believe she hasn't been adopted yet. Just come and meet her and you will fall in love with her, I'm positive.

Please take a look at the videos I took of her showing how amazing she does on leash and how much she loves belly rubs!

Such a beautiful girl. I thought the photos looked chow-ish but in person I would say she is probably a chow-mix. She's not a big girl and very sweet.

Kami is the kind of dog that would just thrive in a home; she would transition SO well. She has this very quiet and sweet demeanour about her. You just know she was meant to be a part of a family.

Kami was just lovin' every bit of attention today!!!

simply_ulee's picture

Just a note: normally the shelter keeps the dogs recovering from spay/neuter in a room separate from the other dogs. However, the shelter has a new addition who needs urgent surgery and so she will need that room to heal in. So we have no place for Kami to recover from spaying. We need to secure a foster for her asap so we can book her spay appt asap and get her ready to go to Vancouver!! :D :D :D

We are collecting funds to help Kami to get to her new loving warm home in Vancouver.

Thank you in advance!

Took Kami out for a nice long walk today. This girl is SO great on leash, if I haven't emphasized that before. And she just LOVES belly rubs, more than life ha ha. She's really a joy and I can't wait for her to get over to Canada and be reunited with Juno :) We are still looking for a courier to get her over to Vancouver :) :) :)
