Description:

UPDATE: Nola is now about 6mos. old and weighs a fun 30lbs and is full of Boxer love! She is spayed and UTD on her shots and is VERY healthy! She has also been through some training, so she knows sit, shake, and down. She is great with children (ages 5 and up, since she IS a 30lb puppy) and is crate trained. She is mostly house trained, but does sometimes have an accident if she hasn't been outside for awhile and she's playing a lot, but if you take her outside accordingly, she is fine. She is a unique girl with one blue eye and one brown, and a penchant for love! Please help this girl out and give her the time and attention she wants and needs!!

Nola is a VERY sweet little boxer mix puppy who gave me kisses within seconds of meeting her! After meeting we took a walk and literally EVERYONE stopped to meet her. She gave kisses, had her picture taken, and was loving it! It is SHOCKING someone would want to give this pup up! Could YOU be the lucky one to take her in and give her a loving fur-ever home???

Nola's (short) story:
About 2 weeks ago, a Korean woman, Nola's former owner, decided to be cruel and wanted to throw her out on the street. A kind dentist, however, was having none of that, so he scooped her up from the owner and brought her to live with him. Fast forward 2 weeks, and Mr. Park comes up to Seoul for a dentist appointment, and, of course, Nola's future was set in motion! There was an emergency posting on Facebook for Nola, so I responded, less she end up at a shelter so early in life! She came home with me just 12 hours ago and I'm acting as a temporary foster until a new foster can be found or even better, a fur-ever home!

Nola's temperament is a very sweet, typical Boxer pup. She walks fairly well on the leash, as she rarely pulls, but she does have the habit of wanting to weave in and out of your legs, so we will work on that. If you stop, she stops and she just sits and waits for you! She's quite playful with her toys and she likes gnawing on her milkbone. While playing, she just rolls around on the ground and paws at her toys. She is also COMPLETELY crate trained! She slept a full 8 hours in her crate with no whining or barking or anything but her cute boxer snores!!!!! She's not yet house trained, but we will definitely work on that! Overall, I think she will be great at obedience and trick training since she already does many things on her own. I click my tongue for her to come, and she just prances over!

Nola's health is still a mystery. She seems very healthy and has no puppy disease symptoms. I'm visiting Dr. Oh at Chungwha today for her contagious diseases test, x-rays, blood work, antibody test, and her vaccinations. She will also be put on Advocate if she's given the okay. Right now, she's about the size of my mini-schnauzer, but is definitely more muscular and heavier. She's all legs and paws right now, so she's a little wobbly, but has no problem maneuvering anything, it's just entertaining to watch!

Please contact me if you have any questions or if you are interested in fostering/adopting this sweet girl! Her adoption fee is listed as 100,000won, to reflect the general costs of having and caring for a boxer.

Sad news today! Athena's (formerly Nola) dad contacted me today to let me know that his wife is in the hospital for serious complications with her pregnancy, and as a result, he is unable to provide the proper care for Athena. He works all day and then stays with his wife in the hospital all night, so Athena is in her crate most of the day and night, and is let out to stretch her legs when he comes home in the morning, at lunch, and at dinner, which means Athena is in her crate about 22hrs a day. :o(

Athena's mom's condition is very complicated and there's no telling how long she will be in the hospital, so Athena's dad and I feel that the best option is to find a new home for Athena because it is impossible to give her the attention, exercise, and training she needs as a Boxer puppy.

I am very saddened by this, but stand behind this decision and hope that Athena can go to a home that is able to provide for her the way she deserves. If you or anyone you know is interested in fostering or adopting Athena, please contact me. She will come with her crate, food, bowls, leash/harness, toys and everything else she needs.

Hey, ya'll! Just wanted to update everyone on Athena. My friend, Don, will provide an immediate foster for Athena so she can go somewhere ASAP. He has a house with a yard here in Seoul. This will allow me easier access to her so I can visit her and evaluate her behavior/temperament. I've had 2 people contact me about Athena and I'll begin the interview process for her in the next day or two. Keep your fingers and paws crossed that Athena will be with her new family shortly!

Btw, if you are interested in Athena, don't hesitate to send in your application. I will interview every person who sends in an application! :o)
