Chloe!!

3/9.. Chloe is still searching for her ANGEL.. It appears Chloe has been at the shelter for a long time now.. and is very deserving of a place to call her own. Shes a low maintence girl, who desperately wants to love, and to have someone that will love her. In a nutshell shes; lovable, sweet, affectionate, loyal, mellow, dedicated.. and wants to provide you with ALL that plus lots.. lots.. more. Her eye has recently been fixed. Lets make the eye correction her first of many good happenings in 2012!

1/26.. Cutie Chloe would make a verryy nice Valentines gift :) (significant other approved first ofcourse, haha) If you are unable to foster/adopt.. even stopping by and spending some 1:1 with Chloe would make her day! She doesnt get very much attention with sooo many pups running around, and would love someone to give her a bit of extra lovin'

1/2.. Chloe is still available. Please, dont overlook this lady because she isnt "perfect" on the outside. She does have a minor eye issue, which makes the one eye quite smaller than the other - BUT shes simply, being herself. Chloe spends a great deal of her day playing "mommy" to the Asan pups, and hardly has any time to spend by alone. Shes easy going, loves to be rubbed and loves attention. Shes not the bouncey, in your face, going a mile a minute dog. Shes ideal for someone that can see past her eye and love her for being HER. Shes spent so much time, standing in the back while others get adopted.. now its her turn. 2012! Lets make this the year Chloe finds forever love, comfort and hope :)

Chloe reminds me of the old lady on each neighborhood block who; watches kids, makes delicious cookies, gives you bandaids if you fall off your bike, and ALWAYS provides the best advice! This girl is as easy going as they come. She watches all her other pen mates carefully, avoids trouble, and keeps the little ones out of harms way. When new people come up to their pen, she politely waits her turn for some attention.. BUT when given her chance takes in EVERY ounce of affection and love. Shes extremely laid back with an obvious big heart and personality. With all these qualities, she will fit perfectly into a home.. She doesnt require too much special attention -- just a willing mommy or daddy to look after her. (She'll save you from becoming that neighborhood lady...!)

Her weight is listed as "medium" -- but shes on the small end of that scale. Please consider this sweetie pie. If interested in fostering or adopting, please contact Sofia at [email protected]

Adoption Fee: ₩50,000

Chloe is doing WONDERFULLY after her surgery! She got her stitches out yesterday and today I took the cone off her head for the first time. She was LOVIN' it! We went for a walk outside and she and Alexis were running around full speed. You'd have thought they were year old puppies rather than mature older ladies :) Chloe spent a good 10 minutes just grooming and washing her face. She's such a face groomer and to not be able to do that for more than a week has been really hard for her! Here's a picture and a short video of her getting her cone off for the first time! :)

Marla they are just both SO lovely!! Chloe looks so much happier too :) And GUESS WHAT!! Chloe's cone matches Nobu's!! I think Nobes and I might have to come visit you ladies and have a little reunion :)

It has been a month since my last Chloe update so I thought I'd update again. She is doing extremely well in her new town with her new clean teeth and her patched up eye! She has also finally dropped down to a pretty decent weight. It's impossible to get pictures of any of my animals alone but here's the best I could do. I also added a picture of Alexis. She loves sleeping under blankets because she really doesn't do well with the cold (I have no idea how the poor thing made it through a winter in the shelter!)

Can you guess the preferred napping location in my home?! :) You can see on their faces they weren't too happy about being woken up!!

Is that the cat in there, too? That's too cute!

marlajoy's picture

Yep, that's my foster cat, Brody! :) Every one of my animals loves napping in the crate so there are usually at least two or three cats and/or dogs in there at any point in time. All but my little one know how to open the door and climb in :) And it's funny because I have never crate trained any of my animals - I've never put any of them in there - they just figured out on their own it's a cool place to be.

Chloe was finally spayed today! It has been a long time coming because of going into heat, having eye surgery and nearly dying, moving to a new home and having hemophilia (a mild form of it). But today, she was in the good hands of a vet who has dealt with lots of dogs with bleeding disorders. He did some blood tests and said her problem isn't severe enough to prevent her from getting spayed. He was very careful during the surgery and she pulled through beautifully!! She has to stay for longer than usual to be observed but I should be able to bring her home on Friday afternoon!!! :) Yay Chloe!!!! I was so worried about this so it feels great to have it out of the way! No more stressful surgeries for my sweet elderly lady :)

I don't think there could possibly be a more awkward sleeping position! :)

Last night will go down in history!! Prepare yourself for the excitement......Chloe played with a toy!!!!!!! Ok, not so exciting to most people but it sure was to me!! I've had Chloe for over a year now and she has NEVER shown any interest in playing - not with my other animals (despite all their best efforts), not with toys and not really with me, either. She is goofy with me sometimes, bumping her head or body into me while rolling on the ground snorting and snuffing but that's as far as it goes. I tried to get her and Alexis interested in toys but it never worked. I had pretty much given up hope but on a recent trip to the vet clinic I noticed a stuffed elephant toy for dogs. I decided to pick it up and give it a shot. Success!! Chloe was ripping at the elephant, throwing it around, chewing on it's tail and even tugging on it a little with Alexis biting the other end! I got the tail end of things on video and will upload it when I get home!

Oh my goodness Marla! I can't wait to see the video!! That is just lovely news. Yay Chloe, you little angel-pie!

Looking back through her profile - she looked SO SO SAD in the shelter!!! :(((

Chloe playing with her elephant and Alexis. I caught the tail end of things so in the video she is more just chewing it than playing with it but I assure you she was more animated a couple minutes earlier! Alexis always prefers playing with Chloe than a stuffed elephant as you can see at the end of the video. Oh, and please ignore my absolutely annoying voice and the disturbing number of times I ask Alexis to "high ten" me (she usually does it on the first request but for some reason was refusing on this night).

Chloe is famous! Her shyness is a thing of the past and she is now the neighborhood busybody. Everyone in my town knows Chloe and if I go anywhere without her, people I don't even know will ask me where she is and how she is doing. That's because she is always inquiring how EVERYONE is (in her own way) when she is out. If two people are sitting down on the street having a conversation, Chloe will walk right up to them, sit down in the middle of them and look up as if to say, "hey, whatcha talkin' about? How ya doin'? :)" If she sees farmers working in their fields, she will walk up and look at them like she wants to help. Even if there is a drunk man on the street, sitting down looking confused, Chloe will walk up, sit down in front of him and stare into his eyes in such a loving way. She really cares how everyone is doing. A lot of people are sort of creeped out at a dog staring into their eyes SO intently but it honestly makes me love her more than I already did! She is such a sweetheart and it is impossible not to see all the love she has!
