The one & only: ELIZABETH TAYLOR

3/9.. I'm seriouslyyy confused?!? Why am I still waiting? If I could describe myself in one word.. PERFECTION (in doggy form... the best kind!)

1/20.. Why is it divas have to wait a lifetime for happiness?! I'm happy (I roam the shelter during the day, get treats, hang out with people, play with the pups) but.. I want a family that will give me all their love and attention. I'm smart, very pretty, good listener, and 100% independent. Look at my face!! How could one say no?

This glamour girl caught my heart on the last Asan trip, and it became clear from that moment.. she needs an immediate home. She is a curious socialite ready to take the world by storm. She stayed by my side the entire day, just waiting for the moment my hands became free. Free so that I could pick her up, provide extra cuddling (and snacks!!!). She is gorgeous -- all white and black, and small enough for someone looking for a lap dog. Shes the kind of girl that will provide you with confidence and in return seek never ending love. Shes a girly girl -- looking for that right girl, or guy to sweep off their feet :)

Please consider Elizabeth -- she keeps waiting, and deserves a lifetime of pampering. If interested, please contact Sofia at [email protected]

Adoption Fee: ₩50,000
Location: Asan - 아산
Living Situation: In a shelter
Adopted From: Asan Shelter

So cute! Reminds me so much of my dog, who is the best dog ever (biased? :)
She definitely seems like a sweetheart and I'm sure would make a great companion for someone(s).
I hope she doesn't have to keep waiting too long...

This dog really is so beautiful. I have to say I'm in love. She was one of the few dogs that got to just hang out free, not on a leash or in a cage, yesterday. So she got to run around, greet visitors, hang out and got lots of pets and attention and fun. She didn't get into trouble and she got along with the other dogs very well. She really does seem like she'd be the perfect dog for the movies! She could be cast as a kid's best friend, or a devoted family pet, or a person's friend, going on hikes and sitting shot gun.

Elizabeth Taylor is so sweet and beauuuuuuuuutiful! She watched the "puppy photo shoot" with a lot of interest on Saturday! (I think she was just waiting for it to be her turn!^^)

stefaniee's picture

Newest photo of Elizabeth.. eagerly awaiting her chance to leave shelter life behind her!!

I visited with Elizabeth Taylor today. This crafty pup can escape her pen, but only uses her powers for good. She keeps an eye on things and provides love when she sees that it is needed. She's beautiful and loving, and like everyone already mentioned, a really perfect pup! Please consider her!

Elizabeth Taylor is SO beautiful and sweet. She deserves a wonderful home!

Sofia's picture

Liz! Liz! Liz! She is full of love.

MichelleBrook's picture

Elizabeth Taylor is now a constant Asan wanderer. She blends in with the scenery and watches over things. I do not think she is comfortable with this role here though; she wants to be in a home, with a few select people to love, and love her back. Please consider her.

I can't believe someone hasn't scooped up this adorable gal yet! Everytime I see her at the shelter she is the most lovely dog. She is super friendly, calm, loving and laid back.

Sofia's picture

In my opinion she is the smartest dog in Asan.

julie's picture

What were the results of her health check up?

stefaniee's picture

Julie --- Elizabeth is still waiting for her health check up. Were you interested in fostering/adopting?

annemariew's picture

I love Liz. Wish I could adopt her but can only have one dog right now.

julie's picture

Just wondering about the health check. I love this adorable dog. I saw she was sponsored back on Dec 3 so I was wondering what the results were. She's such a wonderful gal.

stefaniee's picture

Hi Julie -- I am trying to send you a message but its not enabled. When your free, could you please email me at [email protected] or message me here. thanks!

jejudogs's picture

Liz is so lovely. She seems like the almost perfect dog: cute, companionable, and smart!
If I were still in Korea she'd be top of my list to adopt a second dog.
And not just because she and my dog could almost be sisters.

How is she handling the cold at Asan?

stefaniee's picture

Liz is doing alright this winter. Shes coping with the cold, but confused why nobodys come for her yet. Im SO convinced this girl is either a genius, or human.. Last weekend, all the voluteers were packing up to leave and walking down the hill -- all the sudden, Liz comes RUNNING full speed down the hill to catch up with everyone. Mr Park from the shelter started calling her name to get her to go back up.. and she was not happy about it!! She went to each and every person at the bottom to say goodbye, and give those quicckkkk gimme a home, TAKEEEE MEE eyes. She did listen, and went back up.. but you could tell she really wanted to come with us. Smart, obedient, loving and beautiful.. consider Elizabeth!!!!!

Okay, I seriously like this little girl! I may be interested in fostering her, pending her health check-up and a meet-and-greet with my mini schnauzer. Can I have more information on her health, personality, behavioral issues, training, and weight. Please let me know!

clare_bell's picture

I am determined to get a video of Liz this weekend doing her climbing trick :) Watch this space!

Amanda-n-Leeloo - we will update you as soon as we can. Each volunteer tends to know more about a particular dog and as much as I say hi to Liz when I'm there, I must say I haven't spent too much time with her. What I CAN tell you is that she will get along with any other dog, her personality is wonderful - she loves people, dogs & has no problem with cats.

Because she's in the shelter, it's difficult to say whether she has any behavioural issues. I seriously doubt it. She is all-round fabulous - I'm surprised she hasn't been snatched up yet!!

julie's picture

Stefaniee, no, sorry I can't foster her but I LOVE this dog. She is a wonderful gal and I saw that she was sponsored for a health check up in early Dec. so I was just wondering what the results were. Maybe someone going to the shelter this weekend can ask Mr. Park?

stefaniee's picture

To clarify.. Elizabeth HAS NOT had a medical check yet.. She is still searching for a home. I will update with more informaton regarding a health check ASAP.

Elizabeth is a very smart girl.. She needs someone that will allow her to prove this. Shes on the medium side.. but smaller in that range, and very attentative to people. She listens, and keeps an eye out over the shelter. Shes like the "Asan Mascot".

The most beautiful girl at Asan.......Elizabeth Taylor!

bernie_mary's picture

I would like to foster Elizabeth Taylor but for the safety of my own dog I would like her to have a health check before I bring her into my home. I'm happy to pay for this. How can I arrange it?

allisondyoung's picture

Elizabeth Taylor was very happy today: wandering around and soliciting volunteers for a scratch behind the ears. :)

annemariew's picture

Here's Elizabeth Taylor at today's trip:
~She loves to be loved. She really seems to want to bond with people. She will make a great pet/family member.

simply_ulee's picture

Lizzie knows she's beautiful. Look at her, what a model :)
Elizabeth Taylor is such a laid back little pup and beautiful too. She looks like a miniature Border Collie and just loves everyone. I think she's perfect for anyone looking for a calm but affectionate dog.
Hmm....yet another consideration for fostering; why must they all be so cute?

jejudogs's picture

Love her little stubby tail.
Liz seems to have had a few people interested in at least fostering her, and I can see why! She seems like an awesome dog.

Liz ~

jejudogs's picture

Sweet! So she has had a vet check up, or some vaccinations? I remember having one of those little books...
The picture of her on the scale is just too cute.

jejudogs's picture

Can't believe Lizzie is still waiting. She seem so sweet!

allisondyoung's picture

Elizabeth Taylor is also known as "Queen Asan". :)

jejudogs's picture

Any news about Lizzie? Is she still waiting?
She just seems so amazing.
And unlike her namesake, I don't think her beauty is high maintenance!

namerae's picture

Any updates for Liz? She does look like a border collie mix...and so cute!
Is she always as calm as she is in the video posted here?

stefaniee's picture

Liz is a very calm girl. All posted pics, and videos are completely natural and of her everyday self :)

misselajin's picture

Oh my god. Why haven’t I seen her before?!?!
She is the cutest thing alive... Sofia, I’m the one who emailed you about Todd and Penelope a while back (from Canada).
Should I submit a separate application for Elizabeth Taylor? Oh dear lord she’s ADORABLE.

Sofia's picture

Hey, are you in Korea already?

papayapie's picture

Such a cutie! Has she been to a vet?

allisondyoung's picture

Today was a very special day at Asan Shelter. After waiting so long, Elizabeth Taylor was finally ADOPTED! Thank you so much to everyone who has followed Liz's story, and Mr. Park for keeping Liz safe at Asan. Most of all, thank you to Heather for bringing this beautiful dog into her home! Congratulations, Liz and Heather!~~~

jejudogs's picture

Yay! Lizzie looks so happy!
Thank you Heather for adopting her and giving her that gorgeous smile. I wish the best of luck to the both of you!

Just fabulous news!! I am over the moon!! Yay Lizzie!! <3 Thank you Heather!!

annemariew's picture

What joyful news to receive. Liz has been waiting soooo long for somebody to love. Thank you!!!!

jejudogs's picture

Will be great to see Lizzie's smiling face on the front page once she's moved into the adopted section. There seems to be quite a few adoptions lately, June's been a good month :D

deborah's picture

What wonderful news! That made me cry... :D Thank you, Heather!
