Description:

Buster went to live with his forever family in Gunsan today! They are a great US military family that has lots of experience with rescues, and the husband has wanted a Boston Terrier for a long time now, so it's a great fit. We are sad to see him go (and surprised it happened so fast!) but we are happy that he is with an excellent forever family.

-------------

Buster was found wandering the Nakseongdae subway station in mid-June and was taken to a nearby vet. He has had a full health check-up and is heartworm free and has no other health issues. He appears to be about one year old (so he is basically full grown) and was well taken care of given his good health and being up-to-date on vaccinations (and doesn't need any others for a year). He was neutered by the vet before we brought him home on June 23rd, 2014.

Buster is an energetic and affectionate dog. Apparently he was also housetrained by his previous owner (pleasant surprise!) as he only uses his doggy toilet on the veranda when indoors. He is fine staying on our veranda when we go out and is getting used to staying in his crate as well.

Buster seems very bright as it has only been five days, but he has already learned to "let go" (of the rope when playing tug o' war), "sit", and is pretty good about "lay down". He pulls quite a bit when walking on his leash, which in my experience is normal for a small dog, but is learning "easy" (to stay at my side when walking) and "stop". When we are out walking, he really likes to meet other dogs, though he tries to play with them after a few sniffs, which is off-putting to the small dogs we've run into so far when we've been out, but I'm guessing he'd do well with a larger dog that would give him a bit of pushback.

Buster loves to play tug o' war but we haven't gotten fetch down yet. He really enjoys good, long walks (and shorter walks, too) but is also totally content just sitting at your feet no matter what you are doing, chewing on a chew stick.

If I've missed anything and/or you have any questions about Buster, please don't hesitate to email me or write a comment below. He will be microchipped next week and will be available for adoption after that. If you are interested in possibly adopting Buster, please email me and I will send you the application form to complete as the first step in the adoption process.

Also, I have a lot of free time these days because I'm on summer break, so I have a lot of time available to arrange a personal meeting for applicants with Buster. We live in Dongjak near Isu Station where lines 4 and 7 meet.
