Maya Angelou, formerly Liza, was adopted and has found a place in a great big family :)

Liza is so, so sweet. She's practically afraid of her own shadow (and cameras) but she never acts out or gets aggressive. She just freezes and looks at you with those big, beautiful eyes of hers, all sad and scared. On the plus side, she seems to have started trusting me a bit. She wagged her tail at me the other day! Baby steps :)

Just like her namesake Liza Minelli, Liza is faaaaabulous. Liza had been at the KARAMA shelter in a terrible state. She was just a walking ball of matted fur and underweight (she's only 2.8kg right now). The staff at the shelter shaved her and who knew such a cute dog would be under there? Liza is very sweet but a bit of a scaredy-cat. When something scares her, she just freezes full stop and looks terrified. She's slowly becoming less afraid of people and the world and I'm positive that with a little more time, she'll learn to trust again.
She's in very good health apart from her weight and she's had her shots already too. She's just been spayed so she's recovering but very well and has a great appetite.

Oh my gosh!!! The pictures of her chewing on that little bone thing are almost too much to handle - SO CUTE! She's just so happy. :)

Thank you Clare :D I was so worried she'd have a ton of health problems but I thought I'd take a chance and I'm so glad I did. She's so sweet! I wish she wasn't so camera shy though. She basically only stays still when I give her a treat haha.
