Description:

Little Trooper is now in a new home. He really deserves to have this chance. I am sure he will adjust well, because he is brave, confident and a good little boy. Good luck Trooper.

Trooper is playful, confident, brave and likes to play with the dog and with my big guy Odin. Actually his uncle Odin mostly grooms him, but Trooper can also groom himself. Trooper goes to the park to get more stimulation and he is often hugged and petted by people in the park. He does not particularly like being handled by strangers, but he accepts it. He is ok on a leash and harness to keep him from climbing too high up trees or under board walks. He loves to cuddle and is a bit of a lap cat. He is fairly well socialized for an orphan kitten.

Trooper was dewormed and had his first round of vaccination on June 20 and the second is scheduled for June 11. Little Trooper has made a lot of progress and grown quite a lot. He eats solid food and kibble, use the litter box, and is good with other cats and dogs. He had some minor health problems, but everything seems to be resolving itself. He tested negatively for FIV, Felv and giardia parasite. He is a very cuddly guy, loves to be with you, sit on your lap and will make wonderful companion.

I found this baby crying in a box, with a wet tee shirt on a rubbish heap. It seems someone just tossed him out like trash, along with a sibling he was still clinging to for warmth. When I got the box home, his sibling had already died. He was cold and wet and I have spent the last week nursing him quite intensely. He is tough, little kitten and is determined to make it. His name is Little Trooper for now, because he is such a strong, little trooper surviving quite a lot of odds.

His exact age is a little uncertain. I found him on May 3, and his umbelical cord had already dropped off. His eyes just opened on May 9. He was strong and determined.

He can be seen here interacting with the dog and cat. My cat Odin has taken on the role of kindly uncle, to teach Trooper kitty manners, more grooming techniques and to give him the experience of interacting with another cat, that he did not have his mother or siblings. He is not fearful or nervous about friendly animals and would make a good addition to any family.
