AMAZING news! Marceline has been adopted!!!! I am so so so happy for her! She has gone to a lovely lady in Sacheon!

*Update - September 3rd*

Marceline is fitting in so well with our house, I wish I wasn't so allergic to her. She is super cute and really affectionate and friendly - honestly I have never seen such a friendly cat, ever! She has started playing with our dog Kyra, as well as Darcy and has started hiding in places and pouncing on them, which is hilarious. They take it really well and really seem to enjoy each other.

Anyway, here is a video of her playing with a curtain. I'm trying to get one of her with the dogs but its really hard to get them to stay in one place and co-operate!

This is Marceline, an amazing little kitten that my husband and I rescued last Wednesday. While we were walking home from the store, I heard meowing come from under a car, and as I usually do, I bent down to give her some snacks from our grocery bag. A lovely old Korean woman noticed us with the kitten and begged me to take her home, as apparently the guards of the building nearby have been abusing her (unfortunately evident from the scrapes on her head which are luckily not serious). My guess is that she wanted to take the cat herself, but for some or other reason couldn't. She seemed very concerned especially since the kitten was EXTREMELY friendly to people and would come to anyone, not just for food but also for affection. While I was waiting for my husband to return with a crate (and ham to lure her into it) she played with me, rubbed herself against me and gave every indication that she enjoyed all human contact. This only made me realize that there was a definite need to take her in, since being so friendly, I imagined that she would be more susceptible than most to people wanting to catch cats for other nefarious reasons.

We took her to the vet immediately, who gave her a clean bill of health. We also gave her a bath since she was absolutely filthy (so dirty, in fact, that she destroyed one of our dog beds, which turned black and doesn't respond in any way to washing!) Although shy at first, she quickly opened up to myself and my husband. She used the litter immediately, and most of these facts lead me to believe that she was someones kitten at some point, and certainly has had some positive interaction with humans. She is extremely friendly to our dogs and has even played with our foster dog, Darcy. She even tried to suckle on Darcy last night, which nearly made me cry. She also loves sleeping next to the dogs and just wants to be part of the family.

Since we haven't had her in the house for long, I don't know much else about her, but we will be vaccinating her etc until we can find a permanent home for her. We would love to keep her, but I am really really allergic to cats and we already have two of our own dogs who we are taking back to England with us.
