12 April 2014

Little Ms. Reemy has been officially adopted by her foster family. She also has a new name which I believe suits her much better: Gretl. Gretl will soon be leaving Korea with her mom, dad, and brother Newton (also adopted from me). Yay, Gretl!

Meet little miss Reemy, a six and a half week old calico kitten. Little Reemy was found in drain outside an apartment complex screaming her little head off. The person who had found her saw no signs of a mama cat and didn't want to leave the little one all alone, so she took her in. They had planned to keep the little one, but unfortunately, their son tuned out to be highly allergic, so they brought her to my clinic.

Reemy is super sweet and playful. She has a healthy appetite and is completely litter box trained. She does really well with getting her nails trimmed and even baths! She is also tolerable to changes and travels quite well. She has been around big dogs (and small ones) and is the one who stands her ground. She gets all puffed up and stands there, not scared at all.

Reemy is full of personality, but she is also one of the calmest kittens I have ever met (however I am sure that will change with time). Here she is, causally playing with my hand and her toy:

For some reason, Reemy is still looking for a new foster or forever home. She has had a lot of potential adopters, but no one seems to actually show up to meet her :(

Reemy has been moved to my house for the time being because her best friend, Minnie, had to have surgery to remove her eye and she needed time to recover. Reemy has been getting along pretty well with the two male kittens, Bane and Alfred, that she is having to live with. She still isn't too keen about the dogs that live in the house, but she is being less dramatic about their presence.

Reemy has had her first round of vaccinations and testing. She tested negative for FIV/FeLk and received her first round of feline distemper and feline leukemia vaccines. She was also given a round of dewormer. This is just the first of three rounds of vaccines (but she won't have to be retested for the FIV/FeLk until she is a year old, which is the most expensive part of the vaccinations series). Her adoption fee covers all of her first round of vaccinations and testing.

Reemy finally has her adoption pending! Hopefully by October Reemy will officially be adopted!

19 September 2013

Reemy moved into foster care with her new foster brother, Newton. Reemy is going to do best with another kitty companion because she gets horribly depressed and cries when she is the only kitty. However, with a cat by her side, she is much more relaxed and comfortable.

Reemy does very well during bath time and nail trims. I can easily bathe her and trim her nail all by myself. She is so quiet and doesn't struggle at all during the process.

Reemy's adoption is currently still pending. Hopefully, this little lady will be adopted soon!

21 October 2013

Reemy's adoption fell through AGAIN! This has absolutely NOTHING to do with Reemy. It is not her fault that people can't even show up to meet her :/ Reemy will do best in a home with another cat. She desperately craves the companionship of another feline and she is not picky on breed or age! Reemy will also be getting spayed within the next few weeks!

23 December 2013

Reemy is growing into such a lovely cat. She loves to run and play with her foster brother, Newton. Her favorite toy is a squeaky mouse that throws in the air and chases around.

Reemy is the type of cat that will need a feline companion in her life. She does not do well on her own and cries constantly when she can not find a cat to latch on to. Therefore, she will ONLY be able to go into a home with another (or multiple) cat(s). Please give this wonderful girl a chance at a forever home!

If you are interested in adopting or fostering Reemy, please send a COMPLETE application to the contact information listed or to [email protected]!
