Muffin has been a joy to have in my home. Because of her unclear past, we do not know exactly what her age is or her breed. I was told she might be 2 to 3 years old and I think she has some terrier blood in her. She has a pleasant and loving personality. When I took her in, I was surprised to see that she was already house broken and was easy to train her not to do certain things around my home. She is an unconventional small dog because she doesn't bark and doesn't jump on you in a crazed and deranged manner. I was asked by my friend Laura-Claire to foster Muffin because of a situation in the animal shelter she was in. Muffin was one of twelve dogs who was found half frozen at the shelter. Seven of the eleven dogs died. Muffin and her remaining brothers and sisters were sent to the vet for treatment for their pneumonia. She arrived at my home with a mild case of pneumonia, but now has made a full recovery.

She does get anxiety when she is around new people, and it is a process for her to get to know her. But I have put her in a dog hotel for a couple of days, and came back seeing her very attached to the employees there. All she needs is a slow gradual integration into her new environment. She is not good with other dogs. It is better that she is the only dog in a household.

My reason for giving Muffin up is because of my travel schedule. I am planning to travel extensively due to the amount vacation time I get from my current school. I feel guilty for leaving Muffin for such a long period of time in a dog hotel.
