Silky is still looking for her perfect forever home.

5 March 2012
Silky is doing great! She is truly a great dog for any lifestyle. She is not needy at all, but LOVES cuddles and if allowed will sleep through a rainy day at your side without any complaint. She always does her business outside and enjoys long romps around the neighborhood or nearby hills. On the off chance that she can not get outside, she will head straight to the bathroom, which makes for super easy cleanup(and as long as she gets her daily walks, this does not happen).

One more week and she will be off of the dermatitis medicine and in another week or so we hope that her ear infection will be gone as well!

Whoever desides to adopt Silky will not be disappointed! She is such a loyal companion and very fun to have around. Take a moment to get to know Silky and she will steal your heart - that's a promise.

Silky is truly one of the best behaved dogs we have ever seen. She gets a bit stressed when we leave her at home, but can you really blame her? We are earning her trust and proving to her daily that yes, we are coming back for her! It has been four days since we brought her home from Asan and she has been an angel. Her first adventure was to the vet. Silky is between 2 and 3 years old. She is heart worm and virus NEGATIVE!! She has dermatitis all over her body, but with medication 2x a day for the next two weeks it will cleared right up. She also has an ear infection(not uncommon for spaniels), that is going to take a month or two with daily washing and drops to cure.

She was clearly someones pet at one point because we have learned a couple things already:
1. She had her puppy vaccines. She got a booster and is now UTD :)
2. She is completely house trained! What a treat for new foster parents!
3. She can speak Korean. She knows how to sit AND to shake!!
5. Playing fetch is a great game. She will bring whatever you throw right back to you.
4. She loves people. ALL people. She will show you this with a wiggling butt, plenty of kisses and begs for a belly rub.

We have no idea how anyone could abandon this genius of a cuddly little girl. This girl has enough energy to go for a hike or a run, but when inside is lazy as can be, and loves to curl up and cuddle. Will you be the one to give her the forever home she has been looking for???

Did we mention that she doesn't bark?? Not once!

Adoption Fee: ₩150,000
Location: Wonju - 원주
Living Situation: In foster care

Lovely, lovely Silky! This girl is one of the most adoptable furry friends I've seen! She just goes with the flow and LOVES sunbathing! Who will be the lucky one to call this chica family??

Silky is getting better and better walking on a leash. She now only pulls when she is really excited or when there is a bird she thinks she can catch. We have decided that she would do well with kids based on the fact that EVERYTIME we walk her we get swarmed by children and simultaneous hands wanting to pet. She really loves all people! She seems to do just fine with other dogs, unless she feels threatened.

The dermatitis is a lot better and she is itching less, but we are looking at probably 2 more weeks of medication. We can see a huge improvement from the daily ear washing, but next week we will need to take her in for an ear flush because neither of her eardrums are visible. Hopefully this will help to cure the infection and inflammation. We are hoping for less trips to the vet in the near future!

Thank you so much for fostering this beautiful girl! It is so good that she's getting regular vet care and lots of love! She will get scooped up quickly i'm sure! :)

Silky should not need any more vet care for a while! YAY!! We have changed her adoption fee to 150,000 W. She is finished with her medication and her ear is looking great! We hope to have a bake sale/ event of sorts in the near future to try to recoop some of the amount spent on vet bills (skin and ear medication and the ear flushing procedure) so that the adoption fee can be reduced again.

We have decided to adopt Soju (aka:Silky). She is the perfect dog for our lifestyle and we have become quite attached to each other. Not to mention she is just PERFECT! Thank you to everyone for being so supportive!
