Loki is a beautiful yellow lab puppy wondering how on earth he ended up in a shelter! He's probably between 6 and 8 months old and would love to be your BFF. He was very well behaved and patient while getting his eyes and ears done and appears to be in great health. He was a good walker and nothing but friendly to the little dogs whom he accidentally intimidated with his size. A volunteer said he knew English commands and he is excited to learn more! In exchange, he will teach you a lot about love and forgiveness! Please consider Loki!
Update: Loki (formerly known as Beau) just went into foster care today (January 18th). His introduction to his new friend and housemate, a 5 year old black lab, went beautifully and they went into lab happy wrestling bliss. :) Yay for Loki! And thank you to his foster family!
January 20th Update: Loki is Heartworm NEGATIVE!!! Hooray! And he has received all of his vaccinations and is microchipped! Yay!
Jan 31st: Loki is doing great with his foster family! He loves wrestling with his friend Cody and was great with all the dogs in the dog park! He is such a friendly boy that gets along with everyone! He is great with the family's daughter whom is 2 years old. He is also learning which toys are his and which are hers. :) Crate training is going well and he sleeps well in there at night, as evidenced by the very loud puppy dog snores emanating from him. Please consider this lovely boy!
February 13th update: Just wanted to update a bit on Loki. He's doing well and we've learned that a good 1-2 hour romp at the dog park makes for a MUCH calmer puppy. He's still a little crazy, but at least we're getting there! He's getting fixed on Wednesday and they'll probably look at his lip a little closer that day too. Housetraining is still a bit of a struggle, but he really is doing much better! He's starting to let us know a little better when he needs to go out and he's getting much better about going when we give the "go potty" command, versus waiting 25 minutes while he smells stuff. He loves loves LOVES playing with other dogs of all sizes and has shown absolutely ZERO signs of aggression, either in playing or in eating. In fact, we can feed both dogs side by side without any issue at all. We go to the dog park every Saturday and by the time leaves, he's exhausted and so very happy.
He seems to like sleeping behind the curtains next to the window. I'm not sure if he likes looking out or he likes the cold window. Either way, a dog half buried in curtains is pretty cute. Pictures to come!

This boy is just a big loveable baby in desperate need of a home ASAP. I don't think I've ever met such an affectionate doggy before. He is just begging to be loved!!

This boy is a typical happy-go-lucky Golden who loves everybody and everything! He may have been living in an English speaking home, because he seems to understand "sit." He is very polite and affectionate and would love to have a caring family!

We've been fostering Loki for a few weeks now and he's starting to transition into being a family dog from being a shelter/outside/whatever he used to be dog. He's started cuddling recently, albeit it shortly because he IS an energetic puppy after all. He's scheduled to get neutered on 22Feb, so that's something that potential forever homes won't have to worry about. He's working really hard on house training, but still has accidents sometimes if you don't get him outside quick enough. He really IS a love and he's wonderful with our young daughter and other Lab.

Loki was adopted today! His foster mom said of his new home, "They're a really amazing family! I'm so happy for Loki. Aside from being with a great family now, he'll have a huge farm and a two other Labs in the English countryside to return to after his time in Korea." Yay for Loki and his new start! Thank you so much for his wonderful foster family for everything!

Thank you to Michelle for getting him the most awesome foster home, Pam & family for BEING the most awesome foster home, and to Loki's new parents for adopting him! I remember when I first saw him at Asan and my heart plummeted because I was thinking "not many people want big dogs in Korea, how long will he be here for?" Thankfully, you guys changed that :)
Once again, thank you for the happy ending! And please, please upload some photos of Loki in his new home!

Loki has settled into life with us very well indeed. He is firmly one of the family. Nothing bothers this chap. He is a happy go lucky labrador who given the chance will bestow kisses on every-one. Living in the centre of Seoul this can be a problem as some people are put off by his size...but we smile. He is a delight and I would urge anyone who can give a "bigger" dog a chance to do just that. You will be rewarded with unconditional love. Thanks once again to ARK for giving Loki and Us a chance, and of course letting us adopt a friend for life!

Loki will be leaving Korea in December and settling in the UK just in time for Christmas. He will enter the EU via Amsterdam with KLM and then by train to the UK. Today however he seems content to become adjusted to a British way of life by watching BBC world news!

Loki has arrived in the EU. He has one night in the Amsterdam Hilton and then we are being picked up for the drive to the Channel Tunnel and then he will be in the Uk. This will be a very special Christmas. Thank you ARK and Pam Nysrom - you had faith in us and we made a commitment to Loki that is life long. He is safe, warm, fed and loved what more could a Labrador wish for.
