Description:

Hello, world! Meet Bruce, the hidden gem of Sandy's litter! Bruce is an energetic, curious goof ball who wants nothing more than to give you puppy kisses, roll around in flowers, and play with kids! Born February 27, Bruce is a clever 14 week old jindo/lab mix, and as we all know, when it comes to mixes, you get the best of both breeds!

Bruce is currently sharing his home with his foster brother, who's a little over a month older than him, and with 3 human foster sisters and brother (girls 3 & 13, and a boy, 5). He is loving all the attention and activity that comes from living in a lively home! He loves playing around with his rope toys. He loves cuddles from everyone, especially if those cuddles include belly rubs! If you give him a pig ear, he will worship you. He likes wrestling with his furry and human foster siblings alike, and absolutely adores going on walks and will stop to smell the flowers, subtly reminding you that life is too short to not have an amazing furry family member like Bruce!

Bruce is UTD on his vaccinations, has been de-wormed, and gets HW/flea/tick preventatives every month. On May 16, he was just shy of 6kg, so he'll definitely be over 7kg by now. (When I find out his current weight, I'll update.) Bruce is currently eating about 2 cups of Nutro Ultra for Puppies. He eats twice a day. He is full of energy and healthy as a horse! Bruce is really good about physical touch, so you can easily give him baths, touch his ears, and touch his mouth. He doesn't much like getting his nails cut, but what dog does?

Bruce is well on his way toward becoming a well-adjusted young pup. He has long since stopped his puppy mouthing and nipping, and will stop chewing on a toy if you say "ouch", although he'll still need time to figure out the difference between a toy and the hand holding it. He has also been working on his sit-stays. He'd quite focused on his leash, but he's still a puppy, so will need continued work to stay calm and walk politely. At the beginning of a walk, he'll be very excited, but calms down rather quickly. He doesn't always respond to his name, but if you make kissy noises, he'll come running for a sloppy make-out session. Bruce is also in that stage of development where he's curious about everything, so when you bring him home, you'll want to make sure things like cords, shoes, cleaning supplies, and rat poison (seriously, though, no rat poison please!) are put away and he can't get a hold of them. Bruce is also learning to keep his feet or butt on the ground, so he's really starting to learn that jumping up is a no-no. Bruce is currently pee pad trained and is doing fantastic with this, but his new family should expect to continue working on this because he is only 2 months old. But, he still needs to go outside occasionally because Bruce is a pup who likes to poop outside. At night, Bruce sleeps in a pen in his 13 year old human sister's room, which makes him super happy! Bruce's foster family has really started socializing him so that new experiences in the future won't be scary or stressful, so his new forever family should keep up with this, as well.

Overall, Bruce is a happy-go-lucky, friendly, curious bundle of white fluffy jindo puppy. He would love to meet his forever family before he gets too old to adjust seemlessly, so if you want to open your hearts and home to this lovable little boy, please submit an application today!
