Mimi

Mimi went through a lot of pain and struggle but she has finally found a wonderful forever home!

Little Mimi had a sad start in life. Her first owner abandoned her at a shelter and she was in poor health. Mimi was adopted but unfortunately, she was neglected and abused. When she arrived at the vet's, she was suffering from severe malnutrition and anemia. Luckily, Dr. Yang was able to convince her owner to give her up and he began treatment for her and she went into foster care. When I began to foster her, she didn't have energy and barely ate. Mimi's condition was so poor that Dr. Yang wasn't sure she'd live much longer. Just a few weeks later, thanks to a lot of work at Perth Vet (lots of transfusions and other medical procedures), she's stealing toys from my other dogs and running around the flat like she owns the place. She's even doing well enough that she had a short grooming today!

Mimi's about a year old and weighs just under two kilos (when she's back in peak form, she should weigh about 2 or 2 and a half kilos). She's very sweet and loves people. She's potty trained (she can go on pads or in the bathroom. You just need to point out where you want her to do her business) and she hasn't had any accidents in the weeks I've had her. She loves dogs but hasn't had any experiences with cats or children so I'm not sure how well she'd do with them. I've also not had the chance to take her outside due to her health problems, so I'm not sure how she is on a leash.

Her adoption fee will go towards covering her past medical care.
