Description:

Doctor is one of a litter of four who lost their mom when she was hit by a car. The following description is for Doctor only, as the others (Rose, Marty, and Donna) all have separate profiles.

July 6, 2014:
Jerri is growing up beautifully with her sister, Rose! See new pics!

March 11, 2014:
From Jerri's (formerly Doctor) and Rose's new family: "They are doing wonderful and getting so big. They go to the vet for their regular check-ups. They love walking on a leash. Both are still extremely energetic. Completely potty trained, and have learned all the basic commands and to immediately sit when we enter an elevator. They love the rides in the car and greeting people. Rosie and Jerri (Doctor) get lots of treats and a whole bunch of love."

January 1, 2014:
"Doctor is very smart! She uses the pee pads 80% of the time and she learns things quickly. She's also very sweet and affectionate to people. She loves human attention and cuddling in your arms and licking your cheeks! Overall, both Doctor and Rose are really lively, affectionate, and fun! They will bring a lot of joy to their future family. They are also good with cats (we have two)!" - Doctor's foster mom

Doctor loves playing with Rose and wrestling, but she also likes to chew (bones, toilet paper rolls, toys, my pants, etc). She is full of energy but takes several naps during the day once she's worn out of playing.

December 21:
Doctor (along with her sister Rose) moved into her new foster home this weekend! Her new foster mum is caring for the little darlings, and said they are settling in well!

November 30:
Doctor will be due for her first round of general vaccinations when she is 8 weeks old (currently 5 weeks), and can be fostered/adopted separately from her siblings at that time.

From the pups' (current) absolutely wonderful foster mom -- "Doctor is super playful and wants to the play the most!"

Doctor is one sassy girl, especially with her brother and sisters. She's the first to instigate (lovingly!), and tackle, and chew, and scatter around (still clumsy -- so very cute!). She's the only one with brown fur, so she's easily identifiable out of the bunch.

Doctor and the other pups only get breakfast and dinner from the bottle. During the day, they eat and drink on their own, and have recently been taking to a few pellets in their milk. With no hesitation! They are doing really well with knowing when to go to the pee pad, even if they're outside their pen boppin' around.

November 23:
Doctor, along with her sisters, visited the vet today (11/23) and he was impressed with how healthy they all are given their circumstances (born to a mother who was a stray). The vet tested a stool sample from one of the pups which was negative for worms and parasites. In approximately 3 weeks the pups will need to have their vaccinations.

Anyone interested in fostering/adopting Doctor will need to fill out an application first. Found here: http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application. ***((Even if you want to just VISIT the dogs, an application needs to be filled out and approved first))*** This spunky lil' thing deserves only the best! Please send your application to [email protected].

do you know what size they will be when fully grown up?

It's hard to say. We never saw their mom. But I would guess they'd be medium sized. I can't imagine they'd be big dogs, but can't be certain.

Hello,

I haven't received any new emails regarding Doctor. I'm not sure of your name from your username. Would you like to try to send it along again? Thank you.

Hi! Is Jerri missing by any chance? I just got an email message from someone saying they think they found Jerri~ got spooked while watching fireworks recently? Please let me know if you think it's him and I can put you in touch!

swi1818's picture

Hi Karen. I haven't heard much about Jerri and Rose since they were adopted. Assumed all was okay, but yikes...can you private message me with more details? Did people find her and keep her? Or is she still on the streets? The pictures are rather old, unfortunately, so Jerri would be bigger than in the pictures now. I'm not really sure but if she is missing, but acting quickly will be best. ([email protected]) Thank you!

I just sent you a message with more details. Yes, my understanding is the person who found her was still holding her and she's fine. I passed on your email address but I haven't heard back.

Have you been able to get in touch with Jerry's owner?

swi1818's picture

Hi Karen!

All is well! Jerri was returned to her owner yesterday afternoon. Sorry for not updating you! Was in contact with quite a few people, including Tracy, so thank you for connecting us. Jerri was spooked by the fireworks so wiggled out of her harness and dashed, along with a few other dogs I believe. The owner was able to scoop Rose up (Jerri's sister), but Jerri just took off too fast. The owner eventually called me and I put him in touch with the people who had been caring for Jerri.

Thank you for your help and concern :)
