UPDATE September 13 2013
Maple's foster mom decided to adopt her!
Personality: Maple is a sweet girl who loves snuggling, very gentle and has a calm temperament. She is great on the leash. Walking and jogging!
Maple was good during the car ride and was excited to meet other dogs. She was afraid of the elevator the first night but by the morning she went in fine. She really is a great dog. She is smart, affectionate, easy going, and friendly. She would do great with a home with another dog.
Maple is an absolute love! She would be a keeper, for sure.
Health status: Maple has been tested for heartworm and is negative. She got a full physical and is in good health.

Maple arrived last night in Bucheon and is settling in her foster home well. Her foster mom says that Maple is very smart and her temperament is great.

This is urgent. Today we received an update on Maple's situation. The shelter staff didn't have a chance to test Maple yet, so they have no idea about her health status. They said they will test her a few weeks later (a month from when she got into the shelter). And then if she turns out to be heartworm positive, they will put her down! So basically there's a chance that Maple has just a couple of weeks to live.

Yikes! I will really be hoping for a foster for her, or at least that she tests negative for heartworm so she won't be put down!
