Update (7/21): Yeti was wagging his tail again this morning! So happy to see him feeling better. And...he's been adopted! His new family seems very kind and will take great care of him. Thanks to everyone who showed interest and helped out. ^^

---------------------------------------------

Update (7/20) Part 2: Brighter news! Yeti got respiratory treatment and a shot earlier and his coughing seems much better. He may also have new parents who will adopt him and care for him. Keeping my fingers crossed!

---------------------------------------------

Update (7/20): Yeti is in need of a new foster home ASAP. I just visited him at his current foster parents and they are very concerned about him being alone during the day with his current coughing situation. He's been to the vet and he doesn't have anything serious (likely kennel cough) but he's getting weak from all the coughing. He needs someone to watch over him and nurture him back to health. His foster mom is pregnant and has been staying up with him so I'm concerned about her well-being too...I already feel terrible about asking for her help but I knew she would take good care of him (and I was right fortunately).

Any foster parents out there who can take him by Monday morning?

---------------------------------------------

Update (7/19): Yeti's foster mom just told me his cough is getting much worse. She was so worried that she stayed up all night to check on him and give him medicine. I'm also concerned about my friend as well as Yeti because she's pregnant and Yeti might be too much work for her... I know I posted the adoption fee high to offset his rescue costs but if anyone can take him now and nurture him back to health, I will reduce the adoption fee. Anything as long as he gets properly taken care of...*sniff*

A new foster home will also be considered (for the sake of my friend) but adoption, of course, is preferable since he's been moved around so much already.

---------------------------------------------

Update (7/18): There suddenly seems to be a turn for the worse with Yeti. I'm still getting info from his foster parents (I think they're currently at the hospital with him). I will keep you updated...

---------------------------------------------

Update (7/16): Yeti's foster parents informed me last night that while he goes potty mostly where he should, he also randomly goes in the same two "wrong" spots on occasion. They've placed pads in those spots for the time being and hopefully he'll revert back to his one "correct" spot only again sometime soon. He also seems to be getting more energetic and playful than before...which was already a lot! ^^

-----------------------------------------
Yeti is a purebred Maltese pup. This sweet little darling is only 3 months old and looking for someone to love him forever.

I rescued Yeti from someone who wanted to dump him somewhere rather than give him away free to someone. I loss a big chunk of change to calm him down and gain possession of Yeti though I have no capacity to care for him myself. I sought help from a friend who is now caring for him while I find him a permanent home...hopefully sooner than later.

So a bit more about Yeti: he's one of the most playful puppies I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He happily greets everyone with a wagging tail and slides across hardwood floors to nibble on the first foot he can find. He seems to be mostly potty trained to go on a pee pad but has the occasional accident (in the same spots according to his foster mom).

He is in mostly good health but had a small cough that's almost cleared up. He's also undergoing ear mite treatment at the vet and had a bout of teary eyes which is getting better as well. The person I rescued him from mentioned that he's had vaccinations twice but I'm not sure how accurate that fact is...

Anyway, the most important thing here is that Yeti finds a loving home! Let me know if you have any further questions~

Thanks for helping this pup! Have you brought Yeti to the vet to have a check-up and get him started (or continuing) on his puppy vaccinations?

He's been to the vet and is currently getting treated for ear mites. The vet said he should wait until his cough clears up completely before resuming any vaccinations. ^^
