Description:

(UPDATE - JULY 15): I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO beyond ecstatic to FINALLY be able to change Sherlock's status to "ADOPTED"!!!!!! You deserve it!!!!!!! He is now living with his forever mommy, and his name is "Loki"!!! Have a happy life sweet boy!

(UPDATE - JULY 3): Good things could be happening for Sherlock soon. Fingers crossed; he has been waiting so long and has been so unlucky. He is such a sweet baby, and when we took him out for a walk a few weekends ago, he did so great! He's such a happy little pup :)

(UPDATE - MAY 26): Sherlock is now living outside :( He is now 5-months-old and has spent the last 2, very crucial months of life, in a shelter where he does not get the socialization he needs. Where he does get the affection he deserves and exercise he needs. I am really terrified for this poor puppy that he is going to grow up in the shelter and never get a chance to get out.

(UPDATE - MAY 4): Sherlock is still waiting! He is so down on his luck :( He really needs to get out ASAP; he's scared to be out of the shelter environment now (found this out trying to take him on a walk) and he is growing bigger everyday but of course he's still a puppy who just wants to play. But he is kept with the small dogs right now and he's too big and puppyish for their liking. I really don't want him to be put in the back kennels with the large dogs but soon, he is going to need to be because he will outgrow the inside enclosures soon. He is now almost 5 months old and still very impressionable. Please don't let him become just another Jindo in a shelter. All of his brothers were adopted and have done wonderful and proven to their owners how incredibly smart they are. Sherlock hasn't gotten his chance and it's so unfair :( Please, please please consider even fostering him!

(UPDATE - April 20): Poor Sherlock is still waiting. He had a few applicants, which didn't work due to landlord issues. Visitors have only had wonderful things to say about him and yet he is still left :( He really needs to get out asap; he is the only puppy and he is too much for the senior dogs, but he just wants to play. He doesn't get enough attention or any exercise to burn off his puppy energy. He is such a sweetie-pie but this is such a crucial time for him to learn proper socialization and behaviour and he is missing out on that. He doesn't know how to play with other dogs properly and he doesn't get walks, he's not being housebroken although he is newspaper-trained.

Description from a visitor: "I met Sherlock last week and he was an amazing puppy to say the least. He was a smart dog that quickly learned to play fetch! He was really friendly with the other dogs and he did not really pay them much mind unless he was trying to find the ball under them! He was also very quiet as well! When strangers entered the room the other dogs would generally be very vocal, but all Sherlock did was look out of curiosity. He was quite playful, but independent as you would expect a Jindo would be. He would definitely do very well in an apartment with good exercise! And his pictures don't lie. He is one good looking pup!"

(UPDATE - APRIL 9): "Hellooooooooooooooo? Am I invisible? Why am I still at the shelter when all my brothers have been adopted to wonderful homes? I'm so lonely. It used to be 7 of us, now it's just me. I have noone to play with because I'm the only puppy :( I'm getting bored and very sad. This is a crucial time in my puppyhood and I don't want to spend it at the shelter where I get just a few minutes of socialization a day if I'm lucky. I'm so smart and love to chase balls around, and am just a wiggly little adorable monster! I've trained myself to go potty only on the newspaper coz I'm super smart ^^"

(UPDATE - MARCH 26): Sherlock's brother Watson has had lots of interest in him but we cannot let him go until Sherlock also finds a foster/adopter. We do not want the last remaining pups to be left alone. I can't believe this wonderful pup is still looking for a home!

(MARCH 11): This is Sherlock, one of the 2 remaining pups (from the litter of 7 Jindo-mixes found abandoned). 5 of his littermates are going to their forever homes this weekend but adorable Sherlock is still waiting for a human to call his own. He is adorable; he has a very distinct face from the rest of his brothers and his ears point straight up! He is so playful and very affectionate. He is approximately 3 months right now, and will be has just received his 2nd round of vaccines yesterday. He is healthy and amazingly already trained to only go potty on the newspaper. He is going through his teething phase so he loves to chew on everything. Sherlock is pretty quiet, I didn't hear him bark a single time in the hour I spent in the puppy room. He has spent the last month or so at the shelter, being handled by a lot of different strangers, and meeting strange dogs, and although was separated from their mom a tad early, has been with his brothers so he is well-socialized. Please consider fostering him if you can; puppies really should not spend their puppyhood in a shelter. Jindos especially can develop undesirable personality traits if not socialized properly as a young dog. He seems to be the smallest of the litter, but these boys are already around 10lbs at 3-months-old. Judging by this and their big paws, they will be big boys when fully grown. I have no idea what they're mixed with - the white ones look like they could have some lab in them, but the brown ones do look very Jindo.

In the above video, he is the one who gets the ball the 2nd time around. He's wearing a colourful collar and has the pointy ears.

In the 2nd video above, he is the first one that approaches the camera. Again, you can see his distinctly erect ears ^^

Confession: I just stole the name Watson for my foster cat.
I'm sorry.
I really liked it.
You can't have it back. ^^

how dare you..... *shakes fist angrily

LOL!
If only I was into running/hiking/biking/etc! I bet Sherlock would love love LOOOOOOVE someone with those kinds of interests.
Haha, I would love to make those big ears part of my life. I imagine someone else is going to be charmed by them, too!

Edit: Must....resist....charming....ears!!!

Sherlock is not doing well at the shelter, he is not allowed to be a puppy; it's very sad :( Please consider fostering him if you can't adopt! If he grows up in the shelter, he is just going to become another one of the dozens of Jindos there; passed over time and time again.
