*Update-June 12th*
Congratulations Piper. This great girl has been officially adopted and will soon be heading back to the UK with her new family. She's going to love having lots of fields to run about in at her new home. Good luck Piper.

*Update-May 13th*
Piper's new foster parents are totally in love with this wonderful girl. Fingers crossed that after her heart worm treatment she will be officially adopted. This is what they have to say about her:-

"So Piper has been with us a while now and the transformation in her is unbelievable! She has gone from being a shelter dog to a pampered pooch and adjusted to it beautifully. She is slowly being house trained but while being stuck inside its quite hard. She likes to go outside and I'm sure that when we start taking her for walks she will be okay and the accidents will be far less.

Her separation barking has nearly stopped, she needs to be reminded sometimes and she does tend to whine a little but this is huge progress compared to the dog who could only be left for five seconds without barking the whole apartment block down.

Piper loves cuddles, she loves people! Children seem to love her and so far she has been absolutely amazing with them, we think she was probably in a home with children previously. She tends to love all nearly all the people that we meet with the rare exception of a few old men and women, she tends to growl and hide behind her human. This being said she made a friend at the dog park when she was able to go ( an old man) who snuck her treats and gave her cuddles and she warmed up to him a lot.

She is a bit of a puller on the lead but that was improving. It's all just about training with her and having someone who is willing to work with her. She is a bit of a pig though and tends to jump or do a crazy food dance when there is food nearby. We are working on this at the moment with her and she is slowly making progress. She has a dominant personality and tends to want to make the rules. But she is slowly learning.

She has already made a huge amount of progress in the last couple of weeks, so much so that I'm excited about seeing how much she will make when she is finished with the nasty heart worm treatment. She is a dog who just wants a little walk and lots of hugs and a few tasty snacks."

*Update-April 11th*
Lucky Piper will be going into foster care today with a lovely couple. She will also begin her heart worm treatment so will be with her new family for at least 2 months. Good luck Piper, lets hope that her new foster parents fall in love with this fun and bouncy girl.

*Update-February 27th*
I will be out of the country for a few months so a lovely volunteer named Claire will be taking over my profiles to make sure they don't expire! You can contact either of us with any questions, but she will be faster to answer. However, I am still more than willing to help if you need me:-)

*Update-February 12th*
Piper is so much fun to walk and hang out with. She had a good time with the other dogs on Sunday and got a couple of good walks. She's waiting for someone to take her home!

Piper was one of the 12 dogs of Christmas. She came to BAPS November 29th. Piper is FULL of energy and adores people. She is great on walks and when we’re all sitting around together, she just wants to be near/on humans! She loves being pet, playing, sitting in laps, and so on. She has this great mop of hair on the top of her head and is constantly happy! She does well with other dogs and although she pulls on the leash, that won’t take too long to train out of because she is eager to please! I didn’t take much notice of Piper when she first came to the shelter but one day I was walking a dog next to Piper and I could not get over how happy and fun she is! She is always trying to get my attention if I’m near her and I must say, I am smitten with her now! Like I said, she loves all people and I think she would do great around children too, although she has not been around children while at BAPS so I can’t guarantee it.

Medical history:
Up to date on vaccinations.
Not yet spayed.
Unfortunately, Piper tested heartworm positive so she needs someone to foster her for 2 months so she can receive daily heartworm treatment.

Piper is a BAPS dog, which means anyone interested in fostering or adopting her will need to complete the adoption application (http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application) and volunteer two Sundays in a row (from 11-3) at our shelter. For an adoption, one must complete a month long trial to make sure you and the dog are a good fit! You can visit the shelter page for more information!

*BAPS also has a sponsorship program. Anyone interested can give 200,000 won for a dog to have their full health check, be neutered or spayed, and get any necessary dental work. If you are interested in sponsoring Piper, please let me know!
