Description:

I was walking my roommate's dogs and this one followed us all the way home! Literally through crops fields and a park, crossed a stream, and then a few busy intersections until I was at my apartment complex and he was still wagging his tail behind me! I took him in, washed him, fed him, he can't drink enough water! He is around 1 years old judging by his teeth, and I'm currently house training him. He's so smart and affectionate. Learned paw and sit instantly. He had on a rusty collar with 2 inches of a leash attached but it looks like it has been cut. His paws and nails are also grinded down and pink so he's been out there for a while. He's pretty skinny but healthy! Sleeps all curled up like a typical Jindo :)

Can anyone here offer him a good home? I live in Namyangju but can take him anywhere you are. I do not trust many shelters here because there are so many slaughterhouses and some shelters sell abandoned animals to them for profit.

Adoption Fee: ₩50,000
Location: Namyangju - 남양주
Living Situation: In a shelter

Thanks for helping this guy! Have you tried looking for the owners yet? You must make sure no one is looking for him before finding him a new home. Please see this page for a list of what to do:

Yes I have looked on www.angel.co.kr all the way back to September but no dogs match him. I also took him back to the place I found him and shouted GO HOME and tried to lose him but he just followed at a farther distance. I went inside a grocery store and he was pacing back and forth being all frantic. I finally had to take him home again and he was so happy then he fell asleep right away. Like I said in the post, the leash looks like it has been cut. I'm not sure what to make of it but I'll make some posters and stick them around tomorrow! Please ask around to see if anyone can take this guy in!

I bet he was a chained dog. :( Thank you so much for keeping him and taking care of him! Is he still with you at the moment?

Unfortunately my housemates did not want him here anymore. They are a traditional Korean couple that thought he was too big. I had to drop him off at a local no-kill shelter run by a lady who rescued a lot of dogs from slaughterhouses. I am still trying my best to get him adopted, the only problem is people are more hesitant to go to the shelters :( I've had one no show already.
