Description:

*URGENT - HAS DISTEMPER* Molly is one of the month old pups I have fostered from Karama. She is the only girl of the litter and I tell her apart from the others because she has a pink nose. I almost named her Buffy because she is always beating up her brothers. Molly is eating softened puppy dry food with less than a quarter of a caeser sachet of wet food. She has a healthy appetite and a rounded belly. She is still feeding from mum but more because she can than because she needs to. Molly has been vaccinated for DHPPL and kennel cough but will need further vaccinations and obviously when she is old enough she will require spaying. I will require proof of her spaying to show to Karama.

Molly is whines a little after bathing but does not whine normally. I have been feeding them at 8am and 6pm. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information, I would love for them all to have forever homes as soon as possible. She and the other pups are quickly picking up on the idea that if they poo on the toilet tray they are rewarded with belly rubs and so go there most of the time, however they are not old enough for treats (they don't fit in the mouth) so I haven't been able to train anything else and frankly I'm too tired from cleaning up after all of them to have any time to train them (it takes me an hour to clean up their poo and then another 2hours to bath the poo off of them- this is only because there are six dogs in an enclosed space with no one cleaning up the poo while I'm at work)

The reason Molly needs to be separated from her mum at such a young age is because supporting the puppies is literally killing the mum. Not only is she severely malnourished but she also has heartworms and can't undergo treatment until separated from the puppies. Molly and her brothers are weaned so there is no reason for them to feed still but while they have access to it, they won't stop. Molly's mum Emma is listed as urgent foster because of this. I am willing pay for her heartworm treatment but I cannot house her while she has it as I have my own young dog and Emma is aggressive towards other dogs while around the puppies.

******************************************UPDATE******************************************************

Molly and Emma had enough interest from ARK that they had both potentially found their forever homes however I noticed Emma cough a few times, and then another puppy started coughing and then another so I took them to a vets to check them out and unfortunately they tested positive for distemper.

Currently Molly and her Mother and siblings are being boarded at Chung Hwa Vets in Itaewon where they are receiving treatment thanks to a kind and generous donation, however when they are able to leave the vets in a few days they have no where to go as due to the noise they made my apartment has banned me from having dogs (I made a deal that I wouldn't bring other dogs in so long as I could keep my dog Panda- I can't risk this deal, not only because of Panda but because my job made it clear that if I lost the flat I lost my job as they are unsatisfied with my performance since I got the puppies because I'm so tired at work)

*******************************UPDATE************************************

When I visited today the vet said that they have finished their serum treatment and can go to foster homes tomorrow. However no foster homes have stepped forward yet. They are currently boarding at Chung Hwas until Saturday 7th but the vet says they would do much better in a home environment than confined at the vets. After 3weeks (wednesday 18th July) we will test them for distemper again. If they are negative they only need to be in quarantine for 1 month more. We think the DHPPL vaccination is what saved their lives as they have regained their health much faster than normal. I personally would rather they continued going to Chung Hwa in Itaewon as they have been so understanding and helpful throughout the process.

*********************************************************UPDATE*************************************************************
Molly has a foster home!! Yay for Molly- she can recuperate in comfort! Molly and all of her brothers have foster homes but they still need forever homes! One exactly one month and two weeks on Saturday they will no longer be contagious (fingers crossed) so if you are interested please let me know!

In the mean time Emma the mum NEEDS a foster home still. Saturday is the deadline! If you don't have a dog of your own you can you can her mother for the quarantine period as she has a forever home waiting for her, so please contact me as soon as possible. We will be fundraising for the continuation of the treatment for all the puppies.
