December 1: Brody has been adopted! :) You've won me over, Sweetie!
November 10: Brody's brother, Quint is dealing with some health issues (liver problems) so until he is better, his adoption is on hold.
UPDATE: September 7: Brody and Quint, and the rest of their family, have spent the last week settling into their new home. As a "welcome to your new home gift" I bought them a cat tree. Take a look at the pictures below and you'll see that they, along with their foster brother, Gray, are already enjoying it! :)
July 15, 2012. I am the new foster mom for Brody and Quint. The previous foster parents said that to know them is to love them and I absolutely agree!! After only one day with them, I have fallen hopelessly in love. They are just so sweet, tender-hearted and affectionate. They love each other so much and I can't help but feel love for them when I see them interacting. Such special kitties!
*6/22- My husband and I and our two cats have fallen in love with Quint and Brody. How I wish we could just keep them! Quint and Brody are so sweet, tender, and endearing. They are people loving cats. To know them is to love them. We are hoping and praying they get adopted soon. Whoever adopts one (or even better, BOTH) will indeed be blessed with a loving and affectionate companion. Thank you.
Brody and her brother Quint were strays who were going to be euthanized, but fortunately found a foster mom who loved them to pieces for a few weeks. Their foster mom had to return to America so they moved to another lovely foster home where they were loved to bits. That family have to leave so now they are in their 3rd foster home with me.
Brody has a very sweet, playful temperament. She is very social and loves to be with people. Her brother is the same. She enjoys belly rubs, crawling up on your lap while you're reading, and sleeping on your back at night. She plays very gently with hands- no biting or rough play. She loves ping-pong balls- especially when you dump a bunch of them on the floor in the bathroom! She is a sweetie pie. Ideally Brody and Quint would be adopted together- if you saw how tenderly they clean each other and how they cuddle you would understand why!
Please consider this sweet girl. She is a darling, darling little cat.

Marla: my 1 year old cat started to have liver and kidney failure and it turned out she had diabetes. I had to start giving her insulin injections daily. She stopped eating well and started sleeping a lot more and then having bathroom accidents. Just another though.... Pulling for him!

Quint passed away in bed early this morning surrounded by his whole family. His last conscious movement was to tenderly wash Brody's head. That's just like Quint to be concerned about Brody right to the end. Brody gently washed his body in his last moments and all the others got a chance to lie next to him and say their goodbyes. Quint, you were such a light in my life and I don't know what I'm going to do without you. I'm so sorry I couldn't have given you a longer life. I hope you are in a good place. I love you buddy. We're all going to miss you something fierce. Bye.

My heart is heavy with this news, but I'm so happy that he was loved to pieces until the end.

I thought it was about time for an update on Miss Brody! It took her a long time to get over her brother, Quint's death. There was a lot of acting out and biting and misbehaving (of course mixed in with lots of love and affection too!) She also seemed pretty confused a lot of the time. She and Quint were really a pair and she didn't know how to be without him. The year old cat she has grown into is not the same cat she was before Quint but that's ok because she is so amazing and so lovely and so full of life and I wouldn't change the smallest thing about her!! One of my many favorite things about her is every night when I get into bed I can count on Brody being right there! She takes her usual position under the covers with her head resting on my arm and her face nuzzled up under my chin (and her body being used as a cushion for my dog, Alexis' head!). She will even interrupt play time to come and hang out with me and Alexis until I fall asleep. She is the best little love bug ever - she is purring on my lap as I write this. Here are a few pictures of her, some taken before I adopted out her foster sister, Meadow, and some taken very recently! :) I love you, Brody!

Thanks for the update, Marla! I'd been meaning to ask how Brody was doing. One thing she and Quint taught me is that to think animals are capable of love is not such a silly thing, and anyone who tells me I'm anthropomorphizing when I say it can take a hike. I've never seen two cats who so adored and cared for each other so tenderly and I've had cats all my life.

Agreed, 100%! That's why it absolutely breaks my heart to know that Brody doesn't have Quint anymore. I don't think she's ever going to fully get over that loss. :(

Another year gone by and time for another update! Brody is cat extraordinaire! I can't believe she is almost 2 1/2! She has blossomed into the most amazing cat anyone could hope for! She is so loving, affectionate, playful and giving. Brody, Gray (her cat brother), and Juniper (her dog sister), are always playing (chasing around the house, playfully biting, pawing and pouncing). Brody is the nurturing mother of the family. She is always grooming (or wanting to groom) everyone and has her own special way of tucking everyone in at night (nose kisses for the animals and cuddling under the blankets with me). It's her nightly routine. Here are a couple pictures of her in all her glory! :)

And here are two videos of Brody - one showing how easygoing and patient she is (note: she is the small white strip under her brother, Gray) and one showing how she loves to nap with her 3 dog sisters: Juniper, Alexis and Chloe. :)
