Description:

Hi! This little guy is Edward. Many of you may recognize him as Edward James Ow-meows (aka Junior), but for convenience lets just say Edward. I took in Edward on Thursday the 20th of September, and since then we have been off to a bit of a rocky start.

Edward here does not do well with other animals, he was originally rescued from a cat hoarder and other animals tend to stress him out. Currently Edward is very skinny and very shy, and my vet and I are working on plumping him up. He is about a year old and is already neutered, he also has absolutely no problems with using a litter box. Edward has already had his first round of vaccinations and we are just waiting to get him back to 100% before any more vaccinations. If anyone here has a nice quiet home with no other animals I think that Edward would really love that. Don't get me wrong! This little guy is a total cuddle bug! He has some trust issues, but after a day or two he will sit on your lap forever and just purr and purr and purr.

If anyone is interested please contact me and we can set up a time to do a meet and greet. I am located in Yesan but I am willing to travel within reason. I will keep everyone updated on what's going on with Edward, he really is a sweet little boy!

What happened with Edward?!

Edward was diagnosed with FIP, a very rare but almost 100% fatal disease. He was already struggling, his walking was difficult, he had no energy, and he wouldn't eat on his own. Last night my vet and I decided that it would be much better for him to go now than to suffer any longer. He was a fighter right up until the end. I'm happy that he got to spend his last week in a loving home, I just wish that he had not been so scared of myself or my cat and that he could have spent his time with his own forever family that he never was able to find.

I'm not too worried about my cat Tuna. Tuna is a bit fat healthy 7 yr old. FIP generally only affects cats who are 1 yr or younger and transferring it to another cat is usually through feces which would mean that they shared a litter box or that their water/food dish was too near the litter box. Tuna and Edward had both separate food and litter. I only had Edward for a week but I definitely imagined him being healthy and happy here. He didn't have a ton of love for me (I'm the meanie who made him eat and go to the vet) but he really loved my friend who only came over to spend time with him. He didn't have the love that he should have had in the end, but he was loved.
