UPDATE 9/22/12

ADOPTION PENDING : Apple and her brother, Orange are being picked up tomorrow by someone who is interested in adopting them together. I will keep you posted on Apple's status so you'll know whether or not she found her new forever home!

I recently adopted the most wonderful kitty called Apple and unfortunately I didn't realize that my son is extremely allergic to cats so I can't keep her. My family and I are so heartbroken about this! Because of my son's allergies I had to return Apple to her foster mom. Apple's foster mom loves cats so much that she is always rescuing kitties off of the street; she just found a kitten that had it's nose and mouth burned by a cigarette lighter!

Apple's foster mom found her and her brother at a veterinarian's animal clinic who told her that they were rescue kittens and since no one had adopted them he was going to put them out on the street; she didn't want him to do that so she took the kittens into her home for foster care. Because this warm-hearted woman rescues so many kitties, she is struggling to take of care of all of them. She can't continue to foster so many cats and because I love Apple so much I told her that I want to help her find Apple a good forever home.

She is a beautiful calico kitten with long ears that makes her look like one of those Egyptian sculptures of cats. She is about 3 months old and is the sweetest most affectionate kitty I've ever known! She purrs the minute anyone picks her up and always looks at you with adoring eyes. That is why she's called Apple for the "Apple of my eye". She loves to cuddle, sleep in my lap and by my computer when I'm using it. She loves to play and do silly things like she did the other day when she jumped on my computer key pad immediately after I took my hands off of it and tried to "type" just like me!

When I first got Apple she needed a lot of attention and I think that was because she had never been in a home without other cats. When I first got her she meowed a lot but when she started to get used to being without her sibling and other kitty friends she meowed a lot less. Her foster mom told me that meowing for attention never happens at her home because Apple is with other cats. So if you don't have a lot of time to spend with Apple it would be better for her if she went to a home where there is at least one other cat. If you are interested in adopting her and her brother, Orange (because he is an orange tabby) together then I can add him to this listing and refer any questions about him to Apple's foster mom since I don't know much about him other than he is the same age as Apple is. Apple has never been around dogs but I think that she has the personality to adapt and get along with them.

Apple is up-to-date on her vaccinations. She's been treated for worms and parasites and also passed the FeLV and FIV combo tests with flying colors!

I'm so sad that we can't keep Apple because we've fallen in love with her gentle disposition and constant companionship. This wonderfully sweet and beautiful kitty desperately needs a good forever home or someone who can foster her immediately so she can get all of the love and attention that she needs!!!
