***ADOPTED!!!***Kismet's got a new home! The lovely woman who sent in her application for him got approved, and he'll be going home with her when she gets back from vacation in two weeks! I'm so happy he's got his forever home, and I'm a little sad to see him go; he's such a sweet cat. I also found my USB cord, so new pictures of him will be going up this weekend.

He had his last round of shots and dewormer on Tuesay, and is now fully up-to-date with his healthcare. He's also gained almost twice his original body weight since coming to us; the vet clocked him in at just over 9 pounds! Congrats, Kizzle-Wizzle (as we have affectionately called him), you're a champ!***

Kismet, formerly known to ARK as Prince, is a beautiful orange and white male cat. He's long-legged, soft furred, and a bundle of cuddles. We agreed to foster him after a plea for help from his rescuer, and are glad we did. I perused the Korean lost animal websites, but didn't see any cats that matched his description. This leads me to believe that he was either abandoned or, if he got lost, it was a long while ago. I think he's a little too friendly to have never had human interaction before.

Kismet has settled down nicely to home-life. Upon entering our apartment, he made his rounds, investigating each room, before settling down under our bed for a nap. He's very laid back, often finding an out-of-the-way spot to nap or just people watch. He hasn't been very interested in playing with toys, instead preferring to cuddle and be pet; he's such a lap cat! He's pretty vocal, too, letting us know when he wants cuddles, or to beg for food (he hasn't quite figured out yet that he'll always have a full bowl!). He's very outgoing, and is more than willing to greet us at the door or come find us for some affection.

Due to his previous life on the streets, Kismet is pretty underweight. His vet appointment isn't until next month, but aside from his low weight he doesn't seem to have any health problems. His coat is nice and fluffy, and his teeth look pretty good too. I'll post updates after his vet appointment, but he should get a pretty clean bill of health.

I want to get Kismet up to a normal weight before releasing him for adoption, but this sweet boy is definitely a keeper for any family that would want him. He does pretty good with my rambunctious two-year-old, but would probably do best with a family of older children or just adults. We don't have any other pets, so I don't know how he'd do with other animals.

Kismet is a ninja in orange and white fur. He likes to find places to hide, and he'll talk to you from wherever he is and you can't even see him!

Kismet's doing great! He has his first appointment on Friday, after which I'll post updates on his health and personality. Pictures should be up this evening, if I can find my USB cord.
