If you have a way with words, you can use your talent to speak up for animals in a number of different ways. Bring animal issues to light not only on your own blog or website, but also on expat community websites and forums, in local newspapers and magazines, or in school, work, or community group newsletters. Also consider giving adoptable animals a voice by offering your services to shelters and here on ARK!

Write Adoption Profiles

Adoption profiles need special writers who can make readers feel an emotional connection with the adoptable animal. They provide details that show what is unique about the animal, and are honest without being negative or doom-laden. Animal shelters often don't have enough volunteers to create adoption profiles for their own websites, for tags on shelter cages, or for profiles in the ARK adoption listings. Contact an animal shelter directly to find out if they need help with profile writing in English (unless you speak Korean or have a Korean friend who wants to translate for you). This activity will require that you spend at least one afternoon at a shelter getting to know some animals.

Write Articles for ARK

Animal Rescue Korea is building an article collection and is looking for articles, stories, book reviews and other pieces on any topic related to animals in Korea or animal issues in general. A list of suggested topics is below, but if you have your own idea of something you'd either like to write or read, please contact me. Articles of any style are welcome. Content must follow the general site rules.
