More ways to help

There are so many ways to help animals near you. Here are a few ideas:

Befriend

Help a caged or chained dog in your neighborhood. Bring him some food, water, and love.

Foster

Consider temporarily housing an animal in need.

Adopt a pet

Adopt your forever friend from a shelter, don't buy one from a shop. You can save a life and not support puppy mills.

Be Responsible

Animal adoption is a lifetime commitment. Don't give up on your pet, she will never give up on you!

Promote pet adoption

Add the ARK Adoptable Animals RSS feed onto your blog/website or tell others about ARK when you hear someone considering adding an animal companion to their life.

Drive

Volunteer to transport an animal from a shelter or foster care to an adoptive home in Korea.

Donate

Support a rescued animal by donating funds or pet supplies (new or gently-used) to a shelter, rescue group, or foster home.

Fundraise

Help find a location, create or distribute advertising, contact media, collect prizes for games, and/or find the entertainers for an upcoming animal-helping event. Feeling ambitious? Organize a fundraiser at your school with students or at your favourite pub with friends.

Educate

Discuss these arguments against the dog-meat trade with people you know. Bring humane education to your classroom. Read an animal-friendly book in class or with your kids (see Humane Education category). Check out and share some websites about animal welfare with your family, friends, or coworkers.

Sign Petitions/ Write Letters

Sign the Korean Animal Protection Society (KAPS) petition against dog/cat meat consumption or participate in their letter writing campaign to the Seoul Mayor.

Share Info
