Annie was fostered from the Daejeon shelter in February by a kind girl named Nana and her husband Justin. Unfortunately when we took Annie to the vet we were informed she had had heartworm, luckily Nana and Justin were kind enough to look after her treatment and care and she has made a full recovery, so now we are looking for her permanent home.
Below are some pics of Annie plus some information about Annie (as translated by Nana)
Annie wrote (via Nana):
I don’t really know what kind of dog I am, except I know I’m awesome. My foster parents called me a “love hound” because there is nothing I want more in the world than to be loved and petted. I’m great with kids and I even enjoy being picked up and carried around. I don’t like other dogs much, maybe because it reminds me of my life in the shelter when I was one of the smallest dogs and didn’t get enough to eat.
You should have seen me at the shelter! Everybody loved to pick me up and carry me around with them, but they always left with another dog. I think it’s because I can be a bit hyper sometimes, especially if I don’t get enough attention. But all you have to do is pet me and I’ll calm right down.
Why should you take me home with you? Because I have more love to give than any dog you’ve ever met. I’m a great lapdog, although I do love to go for walks and I would hope for a walk a day. I can be left at home alone while you work, if I have to be. I know how to use a pee pad, but I haven’t quite figured out that I should use that pad for “number 2” as well.
And I have so much personality! Have you seen me dance? And I am also a sock thief. Yes! If you leave a sock on the floor, you will find it in my bed the next morning. How is that for personality?
I was treated for heartworm in February and I’ve recovered. I’ve started my shots – you can ask the nice people here and they will tell you what I still need. I’m also getting spayed here this summer. I do need my teeth cleaned. I hope that whatever family I go to will take good care of me, giving me regular heartworm and flea-and-tick medicine.
If you’re looking for a sweet little girl, stop looking! You’ve found me right here. "
Nana and Justin are overseas, so Annie is being cared for by the kind staff at the Chung Wha Animal Hospital in Itaewon (short walk from Itaewon subway station). If anyone would like to meet Annie or would like more information please contact Sohee from the Chung Wha clinic (soheeyoon@gmail.com) or myself (tim.vasudeva@gmail.com)
