Snow is a young and beautiful Persian cat with huge blue eyes who currently lives in quarantine at Dr. Pet, and would be great if she could get out of her cage and live with a family or a person who will give her lots of love. Snow needs a single cat home because she has a contagious form of Leukemia, but other than that, she's great and would make a fantastic companion.
She loves to be picked up and cuddled, and is very soft! She'll love you if you give her the chance to

could she live with other cats with leukemia? I have a cat myself but I thought I'd throw out the question for other people with leukemia positive cats.
If someone wants to adopt Snow, it must be at a home with no other cats.
The reason is Feline Leukemia is usually transmitted through infected saliva (bite wounds, mouth/nose contact with infected saliva or urine, cats grooming each other, nose-to-nose contact, shared food dishes/water bowls and shared litter).
Snow is in the latent phase, which means the disease is dormant for now. It can be reactivated if Snow's immune system is repressed for any reason (stress, other illness, certain medicines, etc). Snow also had a blood transfusion in the past.
It's important that the person who takes her is observant and experienced so he/she can monitor Snow and check to see if any symptoms develop. There is no cure for Feline Leukemia, but there are treatments to help relieve pain and discomfort.
With that said, Snow is a beautiful/sweet cat and deserves a chance. Yes, she's not a 100 percent healthy feline, but she'd still make a great friend and family member... she's worth it!! I wish she didn't have to be in her quarantined cage.
Is is not possible to get other cats vaccinated against the disease? I had a cat in the states that got tested and got vaccinated - it was about $200 - but it is possible here, right?
My vets are cat experts and are currently dealing with a cat with Leukemia. The cat is doing very, very well, actually! The vets stressed that the cat live in a stress-free environment, which he is. So, if anyone would like to see my vets, please let me know. If you don't live too far, I could drive you and the cat to them. If you have read my other posts here, you'll know that I have a lot of cats with special needs. And, after having done a lot of searching around for good vets, I know that I have found the best (in my opinion, of course)!!
They can talk to anyone about the Leukemia vaccination. With ALL of my cats, I had them tested first for this and other diseases before they were vaccinated. I'm happy to say that all are disease-free and thriving!!! Oh, and by the way, although the vaccinations, including the Leukemia one aren't 100% effective, they are still very effective and well worth the cost, which if I remember correctly, wasn't that much.

There's nothing better than the love of a good kitty!!
I saw her on March 31 through the window of the quarantine room's door. She was meowing at me, but I couldn't hear it. I felt so bad for her! She wants to get out of that cage!
I'm emailed the contact info mentioned in the first email but never got a response. Is there someone else I could forward my application to?
I would LOVE IT if someone took this kitty! I feel so bad for it. I have looked at it in the quarantine room and I feel so sad when I see it meowing at me through the glass. It has even stuck its paw through the cage. It wants to be loved!!
