• Sex: Male
• Spayed / Neutered: Yes
• Age: Young adult, I think
• Size: Medium/large
• Health status/ vaccinations: Ya was adopted and brought back because he suffered from diarrhea. That seems like a strange reason, so I suggest asking Dr. Choi for more information.
• Behaviour/Personality: I don’t know him very well, but he seems very sweet as far as I know him.
• Rescue story: All I know is that he was adopted about a year ago and brought back—I’m not sure where he came from before that.
• Adoption fee: 50,000 won each (I’m sure Dr. Choi will use it to help other homeless animals.)

Hello, I'm interested in adopting this cat but I live in Daegu, and would need to get him from there to here. Does anyone know of a good way to get him transport him? Can you take animals on the KTX?

Its easy to get to Seoul from Daegu via KTX and then once in Seoul you can take the subway to Dr Pet.

You can take an animal on the KTX and subway as long as it is in a carrier.

It's great to see this baby finally has a chance to get adopted! Since I wrote the original adoption post, I've heard it's not all that unusual for cats to be given up because of diarrhea and that diet changes can sometimes help ... I really hope everything works out.

Does anyone know of a good place to buy a cat carrier? If I'm going to get one, I would prefer to buy one that is well made and is appropriate for international flights. I'm in Daegu now and need to get one before can go pick up the kitty!

each one of my animals has one of these that I use to get them around. It is easy enough to sneak them on the bus with something like this too ( there are tons of different designs, shapes and colours)

Dr. Pet also has a large boutique area with tons of carriers ... I'm sure you could buy one there.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to get Ya after all. I had an unexpected meeting with a cat here that really needed a home, so I took him. Best of luck to this beauty! I hope he finds some good luck.

Your purebred cats tend to very sensitive to changes in their surroundings, diet, stress and a bunch of other things. This is more than likely what leads to the stomach problems...

I have 2 persians and all they need to have runny tummies is one day of friends visiting and them hiding out all day...

Ya is a Turkish Angora and they are REALLY expensive cats, especially if they have eyes that are both the same colour and if they don't have hearing problems (something to do with the gene pool).

I have a full house now, but it looks like I might have some interested in my current foster. Once he has a home I would be more than happy to take him in and try to find a permanent home.

I will check in again to see if he is still available when I have space, but in the meantime I hope he finds a loving home soon!!

Thanks for restoring the thread, Karen, and sorry for letting it expire. This poor kitty has been waiting so long. Conditions for the cats seem OK in the small room where they live now, but I'm sure they miss having their own homes and families.
