Do you believe in getting your adult dogs vaccinated every single year? I know some boosters are done every two or three years. I have seen a lot of research warning that North Americans are over-vaccinating their dogs, I tend to believe that this is true. My golden retrievers turned 9 this year, and I took a year off from giving them boosters. I think its a grab for cash, honestly.

What do you all think, is it necessary or not? Humans don't get boosters every year, why should our dogs?

Is anti-body testing a better idea?

My vet here in Canada this year gave Sage the 3-year vaccine for rabies (we go back in 2011!) and told us we can go back for the DHPP(L) booster in 2010 (the L is optional and separate). My vets in Korea never gave me the option of the 3-year rabies vaccine, I'm not sure why. I think the skip-a-year for the boosters is because of her age (she's 4 now).

Actually I was pretty happy that she doesn't have to take them every year because over-vaccinating was a concern. I don't know much about it, though. I don't think it's a grab for cash exactly, but it does seem like a lot.
