Just wondering where you can find cat supplies in Korea? My vet has some food, but not much else. Where can you find litter, a litterbox, toys, etc?

The Chung Dam vet in Itaewon has a variety of cat toys and scratching posts. They also carry food and litter. If you are looking for something specific, Dr. Kwon can order it.
For litter boxes, litter, shampoo, and other toys, I go to Chungmuro. It's an area with a concentration of pet stores and pet supply stores. It breaks my heart to walk past the pet shops and I never buy supplies there. There are many stores there to choose from. I have a favorite. They give me free stuff when I purchase usually. I used to buy the Arm and Hammer Flushable litter there. They also deliver for an extra 3,000 won within Seoul. I've never done delivery because I switched litters, but they did offer it to me. Litter is heavy, you know, and a burden if you live a little ways away and want to stock up. Delivery is perfect.
Chungmuro is 1 stop north of Myeongdong. It's where the orange and light blue lines cross. I think the exit for the street is 6 or 7. I do know it is the exit for the movie theater. If you go up the escalator and see a big building with Starbucks and a movie theater, you are on the right track. Just walk straight out. Please pass up the pet shops...don't buy anything from them. My perferred store is down a ways on the street. It's at an odd angle to the street, not the typically angled store front. You'll know it when you see it. They also seem to have more cat stuff than most.
The name is Bo Lam Ae Gyun (보람애견) and their phone numbers are 02-2274-8593~4. Hand phone: 010-9946-1314. You could have a Korean call and place an order for you if you knew what you wanted already.
I live behind an Emart, and their cat section is a disappointment. They have Purina dry food and Fancy Feast and some other wet food that comes in a bag. They have no litter and no toys and no shampoo. I don't go to Chungmuro for litter anymore. I use Tidy Cats scoopable now and buy it at Home Plus. It's easy for me to stop by and pick up a box of it, so that's why I go that route now.
I also only use Science Diet dry food. My cat actually hates human food. I once ran out of food and it was too late to run to Emart for emergency food. So I boiled chicken and he didn't really like it that much. He picked on it a little, but was like "meh". I try to give him raw fish, and he thinks it's a cool new toy. I pick up Science Diet at just about any vet around town.

Wow! Great post! Thanks for sharing all that info. I hope we can hear from people in other cities in Korea as well.
That's great about the delivery service. I heard that the Natural Balance company delivers as well. My friends live in Daejeon and get dog food delivered, but that company also makes cat food and treats. They're Korean website is http://naturalbalance.co.kr/ and they have a list of "agents" across Korea and their cellphone numbers are listed there.
I can get Natural Balance at my vet's so I don't usually go anywhere else for anything, but I do like the little fleece dog toys at Emart and Lotte mart. I don't like buying from places that sell live animals either. Unfortunately, the toys I get at my vet's office don't usually last more than a day.

If you are good with Korean (or have a helpful Korean friend), you can find really good stuff at these sites:
http://catclub.co.kr/catshop/
http://www.tom-jerry.co.kr/FrontStore/iStartPage.phtml
They deliver anywhere in Korea, usually within a day or two. Great for getting a box full of catnip mice, or ordering kitty litter in bulk. They usually give freebies with every order- cat treats, can food or toys. They also have a nice range of scratch poles and cat beds.

In my previous post, I had recommended Bo Lam Ae Gyun (보람애견) in Chungmuro. I withdraw that recommend.
Hadn't been there for a while and went there today. Totally changed!! Only 2 cat toys. Supplies were rearranged, some supplies they cut out completely for cats. Everything was pricey.
Bo Lam Ae Gyun (보람애견) = DON'T!
