Henry

Sex : M
Spayed / Neutered : N
Age : Adult, By his teeth, our guess is 3-4 years
Size : less than 10 pounds
Health status/ vaccinations : appears to be very healthy
Behaviour/Personality : extremely calm, loves to be in your lap, smart like poodles are, obedient, just wants to be loved
Rescue story : unknown
Adoption fee : 50,000 to be paid to Asan Animal Shelter

Henry is the gentlest dog ever! When I took him out of his pen today, he remained calm (the majority of dogs are very squirmy when I do this)while I held him, put his collar on, and took him for a walk. After his walk, which he loved with quiet exuberance, we hung out with the other dogs, volunteers, and he happily stayed in my lap and hung out with the others. He is curious and likes other animals; until the spring he was housed with another poodle, Mikel, and they got along great.

Come and meet the exceptional Henry!

Anne Marie, I see you decided on Henry rather than Chester. The name Henry does indeed suit him.

I also had the opportunity to hold Henry today and he is a lovely dog. He keeps very still and snuggles right into your arms. He seems quite content with his lot, which is commendable given his situation. Gentle, calm, ever so calm, and still, very still. He would be a lovely addition to any family.

Thanks, Noelle. Thought Henry suited him, too. :)

Henry is an easy, sweet, in-tune, loving dog. He would be a low-maintenance dog to have around--so undemanding, so grateful for attention from us humans. He is easy to overlook because he has a quiet presence. Consider adopting or fostering him! Poodles are really a special breed. And he is really a special guy.

I hung out with Henry yesterday. He is a great guy, like others said, very calm and gentle. He wasn't that keen on walking (it was hot all the other dogs were just sitting round under the trees) but I carried him down the hill a bit and he walked up. He's a very cuddly guy, happiest just sitting on a knee I think. He'd be perfect for someone who wants a laid back friend. He's definitely my favourite poodle at Asan.

Henry is still available for adoption. He is such a gentle soul, and seems to be full of that sensitivity and intelligence that poodles are famous for.

If you consider fostering/adopting a dog or a cat, PLEASE do it now.
Shelter dogs and cats don't always have TOMORROW.
Henry never got a chance to be loved again.

I don't know what happened to Henry.
