Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the approximate cost of flying a cat home from Korea, aside from inspection/certificate charges. I plan on putting her in the cargo section. Also if I have a certificate stating she has had her rabies shot and is in good health, but it was not done 10 days before I leave (was done about 2 months ago and I will leave in August), must I get another certificate? In addition to vaccinations do I have to have her spayed?? Sorry for so many questions. Thanks so much.

Alycia

Yes, you have to get another certificate. She doesn't have to be spayed.
And the cost varies per airline. You should check a few sites of airlines you'd probably use to fly home.

Air Canada charges 270.00

Petairline is around 500.00

hi, alycia
she doesn't have to be spayed and does need new certificates within 10 days before the departure. but if you use our pet relocation service, we can provide required documents for free and all you have to do is to give us ur dog's medical record.

if you want to get it estimated, or have any furthur questions please call 'Sohee' on 010 5047 0676 or Chungwha Animal Hospital (02)792-7602

Korea Animal Transport is the only pet shipper in Korea, run by professional vets so you can trust us on that! :)

Hi Alycia, what do you mean ''cargo section''?
There is cargo hold
and a cargo flight.

When the cat goes with you on the cargo hold then it is not
expensive. Depends on weight and size of the crate.
Contact the airline you are going to fly with.

To clear up Scarlett's info: every cargo flight charges about the
same (not only petairline) as the animal will travel without you.
Only pets traveling with you on cargo hold or the cabin is cheaper.
