I live with 3 Miniature Schnauzers: Dad,Mom,and their girl.

And this girl, named Cerrycoke will have a surgery because of the ovarian cysts which are suspected as cancer.

I found something wierd(pingpong ball sized) in her belly when I massaged her last year, and took her to Vet.

My vet said I'm too sensitive or paranoid, and she's just soooooo healthy.

But I got her health-check once a month during several months, and finally,
I took my dog to the SNU(the biggest vet hospital), and they found 12cm-sized cyst in ovaries.

I'm so worried about my dog's health during and after the surgery.
It won't be easy and simple.

Guyz, I need your pray and advice.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. I will pray for her....As I was reading your post my mini schnauzer is asleep on my lap. It makes us realize how special the time we get spend with our pets is.
Good luck (i am glad you got the second opinion)

Upsiri, I know how worried you are because I worry all the time about how skinny Toby is. I had a blind cockapoo years ago who had a large mass on her belly which the doctors said was a hernia. She had it for years and I decided it needed to be fixed because with a hernia, the intestines can drop into it and become necrotic (dead tissue.) So at 12 years old, I had her "rebuilt" as I had some other things done. After the surgery, he told me it was breast cancer. They usually strip all the breasts but he didn't because he said they rarely die from breast cancer. She lived several more years and died of old age.

Here's another one hoping and praying for the best outcome.

Hi upsiri,

as I have chronic ovarian cysts myself, I will keep my fingers crossed for your dog. But also, I know how painful they are at even "only" 3 cm in diameter (I had bigger ones, but what I mean is that even the "small" ones are really painful) and can tell you that it is the best option for the poor girl...

Thanks for being such a caring guardian,
Annie
