Maggie [alias Kyung-ja] Fostered
Kyung-ja is the spaniel from the Daejeon shelter. I fell in love with her 2 mos ago from her picture and finally met her today. She had been bitten by a jindo recently so she wasn't happy with all the dogs jumping and barking. She's also blind so that makes it more scarey for her. She mostly hid away in her cage away from the others except for one little friend. As Tim said, she was a very scared little pup.
When I approached her, she curled her lip so I just talked to her at first. With the help of Mrs. Jung and Joo, we got her out and I could finally get her walking, little by little. We got out to the mound and she settled in and got more confident and comfortable sitting on my lap, then I got up and she followed our voices a little bit. By the time Lt, Commander Lee took Joo and I to E-Mart, Wolpyeong-dong, she was trotting along on the leash like a normal little doggy. We couldn't believe the transformation in just a few hours. She also rode good in the car. When we stopped, I thought she was going to throw up, but I guess it was just a belch! haha.
She checked out fine for heartworms, got her vaccines, spot, ears cleaned and a bath; and now she's resting comfortably at my vets in a clean cage away from all the noise and threatening(to her) environment. She has accepted Toby and Umbie with no problem. Toby isn't a bit jealous.
