I need a boarding kennel for my pug in Daejeon. As he would be there for 2-3 weeks over summer, I am looking for a place that would exercise him at least sometimes! We had a great place in Ulsan, but we are looking for one here! If you know of a good vet, who speaks English, I would like to know about them as well.

I would get a pet sitter but my dog can be a little demanding at times! Please post here, or email me! Thanks

I board my Maltese at Coolpet at the Wolpeyong dong E Mart. It used to be the old WalMart near the river and Homever. He charges 10,000 a day and 60,000 a week. I don't know if he exercises them but I think the groomers will take them out and play with them during their breaks. I've met the Vet at Dunsan dong E-Mart and he's got a big heart. I heard that some of the rescuers will take the adoptable dogs out to the park beside emart and give them a run. Maybe you could write privately to Annie or Tim or the others on the forum? See if they go and walk the dogs.

I am one of the dogwalkers at Dunsan Emart and only walk rescued
dogs because they don't have an owner. I only go there max 2x a week
so it is only when I have the time (30minutes from my home with taxi)

The Korean rescuers also only walk dogs when it is their rescue,we don't
volunteer for boarding dogs. The word sais it all. We volunteer but not to
help the vet, to help the dogs who didn't find owners yet.

You are also helping the vet. My hat's off to him (a very kind man) for doing all this work for the Daejeon shelter dogs and to his girlfriend who covers the services. It's really nice of you to come so far and give your time.

Hello,

I would love to help this cause. However, I am in northern Seoul. So, you are a little far for me to travel. I would love to get involved in some fundraising efforts. I am also available for some short term pet sitting or foster care.

Please contact me with anything that I can do.

Hi jjk, How about getting one of your friends to visit the vet and walk your pug while you're gone? I was forced to board Toby for 3-4 weeks a couple of years ago when I was inbetween jobs and stayed with a Korean family. I visited him every day and hung out at the vet for several hours but he was still lonely. <<I have just adopted a 19 mos old dog who's been caged for 8 months. She's so friendly to me but really shy and runs if she thinks you're putting her back in doggy prison.>> You would probably have to introduce your friend and sign something with the vet allowing them to take him out.

Where was the place in Ulsan that you used?
