I didn't see any when I was in Korea last time, pending approval from the landlord after I move back, I would like to adopt one once my finances are set up to cover any emergencies. Are there even German Shepherd dogs in Korea? I did not see a lot of large dogs during my stay there. I'd be almost glad if there were none there, it's hard enough seeing the way the dogs are treated now, if I saw something as flawless as a German Shepherd tied up and left to rot, I'd go nuts .

They are a very special breed to me.

There is a guy that lives somewhere near me that has one. I haven't seen the dog in quite a while. He had a german shepherd and his gf/wife had a very small white dog. The dog was full grown and looked to be very well cared for. I just randomly saw them walking their dogs one night on the main street.
I'm sure they're pretty hard to find here though.
You could always adopt a jindo though.

Hello Gemfinder.
GSDs are quite rare to spot in South Korea. There was one GSD at the KAPS Boen shelter although I heard that the dog died recently. I saw one @ Karma (http://karama.or.kr/ ) the last time I went there. You could monitor the website's adoptable animals section (http://karama.or.kr/community_7.asp).
Are you looking for a GSD specifically or are you looking for a herding dog in general?
