I'm seriously disappointed to announce that another member has quit this site because of how they were treated in the forums. This is not the first time this has happened.

I'm well aware that animal-related issues are emotional, but that is no excuse for jumping to conclusions, assuming the worst in people, making harsh judgments, and/or being disrespectful. Those are not the characteristics of the community we are trying to build here.

Please, take the time to consider your tone before posting. Assume the best or clarify politely.

If anyone feels that a member is being disrespectful, please report the post using the button http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/forums/images/ca_serenity_orange/buttons/report.gif. After three reported posts that member will be banned.

Sadly, this thread needs a bump.

Karen, thank you for everything you're doing to keep this site friendly. I wasn't aware of any problems here because ARK is so much friendlier than many other forums on the Internet ... but I guess it's inevitable that comments made on other sites will affect the mood here. I'm not sure if that's what's happening or if there was some hostile thread that I somehow missed, but I'll do my best to keep your guidelines in mind.

I agree with you reddog....Thanks Karen for a great site and all you do. This is really the first forum I have ever been able to consistently keep up with. It is well designed, and organized and overall it is friendly. Most of all I like the vast wealth of resources available. The information that is provided thru individuals and the articles/links. Thanks!

this website is amazing. If it wasn't for you Karen I would never would have gotten my dogs. It was only through this website I learned about the different shelters were animals were and got my first dogs from one of the non-kill shelters. ( The other one saved thanks to the help on Dr Choi who I met through this website) I probably would have simply bought a dog from a pet store :S because I didn't know how bad they were until I found this website
