Hey all. Where do you get your dog food? Where are the cheapest places. Just thought this would be nice to discuss on here, since most of the good brands are all imported from the states, and are marked up quite a bit. Anyone have any good sources? I buy mine from Lotte mart, as I found they were the cheapest of the stores.

When I buy dog/cat food I don't look at the price. The quality
is more important to me. I only buy hard food when they specify
that meat/fish is the first ingredient.I don't buy food with corn
or chicken meal as first ingredient.
I don't buy anything with corn in it.Though potato/sweet potato
or brown rice as first ingredient is OK when it is followed by chicken
duck or lamb and not ''chicken meal or duck meal''
My dogs are never having skin problems or any other allergy.I choose
carefully what I am giving them.

haha Well, I don't have the luxury of spending 100,000w on dog food a month so I have to look at the price. The food at my vet doesn't seemed to be marked up too much. I've found some decent dog food at EMart as well for an okay price. I bought some holistic stuff last time and Louise barely eats it so I switched back to what I was feeding her before. I've noticed she's starting to get some dry skin issues so I'm going to have to spend a little more and buy it from the vet.

In my opinion, the extra money spent on the quality food more than makes up for treating skin problems, allergies or other issues that are often caused by the cheaper brands.

As for where to get the lowest prices, I recommend online shopping. We generally save a few thousand won per bag, and it is delivered to our door for free (if we order above 20,000 worth of stuff, which we generally do). Some premium brands like Natural Balance only sell through retail shops, but others such as Evo, Royal Canin, Canidae, Chicken Soup and other holistic labels are available. You may need a Korean speaker to help you through the first time, but it is not too hard to shop this way. And they usually include free samples or toys with each order.

One site I regularly use is:

Good luck!

Hi Wibidad :D
Actually you can order Natural Balance online as well but for a free
delivery you have to order more than 30.000won (add a package of treats
I would say)though some formula's are 30.000won/ some18.000won for 2.2KG
which is reasonable I would say
Alicia gave you the Natural Balance Korea website to order, please see if
you can find it ;)
I am very content with this brand,my spoiled dogs are picky but they love
it and they love EVO as well.

That's right Pukka. I had forgotten about that. Natural Balance has a service number (and I believe they speak English well): 080-660-0088 (Mon-Fri, 9:00-6:00)

Their webpage is: http://naturalbalance.co.kr/

And you can email them directly as well: webmaster@naturalbalance.co.kr

It looks like the site also sells other pet-related products.

of course I only feed quality brands to my dogs. however, just want to price them. I find big bags of good brands sometimes up to 60,000 won, but usually averaging around 30,000. Just thought sources of other places to buy cheaper of the high quality food. :) I'll check out that website. :)
