Flight Connections... Quarantine?

This is probably a stupid question, but better safe than sorry!

Does anyone know if you'll have to go through quarantine procedures for a connecting flight? If I leave from ICN to Narita (Japan), when I get to Narita can I just recheck my dog for the remaining flight, or because I'm in another country do I have to go through some sort of quarantine?

Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!

You don't have to go through quarantine procedures, but the animal can't leave the airport (or certain areas of the airport). Several people have said that they were met at the gate and given instructions.
