I suck at this fostering thing!

I already love him and its only been a week! He is no where near ready for adoption but that could take months and I doubt I'll be able to give him up.

I was so happy the first time he walked, it might not sound like much but it took three days! Poor little guy, he is all skin, bones and fur. He still hasn't barked yet, and he doesn't have the strength to jump up on the bed yet but he does give lots of kisses! This is going to be tough.

awwwww..... I love him. Every time I am down there I always considered bringing him back. I am so glad that he is out of there! Thanks for taking him Scarlet. :)

:p

I know what you mean. I'm really in no position to adopt Bangsiri, but she's so lovable ... it's very tempting.

And I remember seeing Ollie and thinking that he looked like such a sweet dog.

I love the picture, they look sooo sweet together!!!
Welcome to the club, most of us are having the same problems.
I am having BIG problems with that :D
Therefor I only chose people who love my foster the same way I
do love them. The moment my foster is in my house,I treat it the
same way as I treat my own dogs/cats.
Especially abused dogs and dogs needed serious medical care when
you help them to survive who will stay longer with you than a
''normal'' healthy dog will be ''bound'' with you more.

But the reality is often that you simply can't keep every fosterdog/cat
so your screening should be really tough and make sure you meet the
adopter more than once with the dogs.

If they are really in love with the animal, they will make the trip and they
will spend the time and money.
The thing I am sure of and maybe will make you confident to put him up
for adoption is that somewhere .... there is a special person who is right
for your fosterdog.
It is not that you are a ''bad fostermom''. Your feelings are perfectly normal.
You have to trust that somebody can love him and take care of him the way
you do.

Look at me and look how much I was in love with Bibi and look where she is
now. With you!! If I kept her,you would not have her :D
I hope you feel better about it now ;)

People fawn all over him, especially Korean folks in the neighbourhood. People tend to be afraid of Bibi (I have NOO idea why:)) but not Ollie, he gets all the ladies.

My first foster attempt was a family of 6 cats. We kept the mother, the kittens we knew would find homes but the mother was black, and black cats tend to be put down in Canada because they are seen as unlucky...go figure I thought that superstition was dead.
So there we have it I kept my first foster;) I just hope I can give him up. I feel so sad about leaving him behind in Korea we won't even be able to visit:( To make it worse I'm getting another one on Sunday!

Hihi we adopted 2 cats from KAPS in Daegu from the same reason
that it would be easier to adopt the others than the blacks.
To me,they are the most beautiful cats and the sweetest :D

Pictures from KAPS
The abandon litter was colourful but we took Fiddler the black one

The other one was from a dying mother, she was rescued from a medicine
place where they make cat soju. All the kittens were sick and we took
the weakest. We named him Raja.

Man!! If you are superstitious you are in for a treat. A black cat crossing your path is believed to be bad. Now imagine two doing that!

Heh, I heard that if you pet the black cat that crosses your path, the bad luck 'spell' is reversed. So hey, owning a black cat can't possibly be unlucky if you're cuddling and petting it all the time!

on the other hand... you could train the cat to always bring "bad luck" to your worst enemies. That's good luck for you I'd hope.
