Dr. Kwon - A Fantastic Vet in Seoul

For those of you aren't already familiar with him (as I know many of you are) and need an excellent vet in the Seoul area (and one who speaks English), I highly recommend Dr. Kwon at Mari Pet Hospital in Sinchon. The hospital is open until 11pm on weekdays, so it is very convenient to take your pet there after work.

Dr. Kwon was a Godsend for me and my sick cat (Kashmir who I adopted from this site), and I couldn't possibly say enough good things about him. He is dedicated, smart, compassionate, and really cares about the animals he treats.

I also use Dr Kwon - I can't say enough good things about him.

He does acupuncture for my 15 yr old cat Oscar and he was also the one who took in the 4 parvo puppies for us last week & managed to save 3 of them.

Can anyone give me directions? I am new to the Seoul/Sinchon, so please make them simple as possible. I will be adopting the Mal (Panda) on Friday . . . and I am super excited!

Dr Kwon is in Dongyo-dong (Mapo-gu). His clinic is very close to the Mapo subway station.

Panda has been to see Dr Kwon before (the day we rescued him from the KARMA shelter) so his records should be under my name (Tim Vasudeva)

I would suggest the best thing to do is to call the clinic and make an appointment beforehand. Once you get to Mapo station call the clinic on 02 323 7582 - they can direct you to the clinic from there, or alternatively if you jump in a taxi and get the clinic to speak to the taxi driver they will be able to direct him, It will only cost 2,000 won as it's only a short distance.
