How far away is the shelter from Osan? I have one Jindo mix that I adopted from this site and just absolutely love her. I love the breed and would like to adopt one more.

I don't think it's all that far, but I'm not sure of the best way to get there from Osan. I think you'd have to take the subway (which is slower than the KTX). Or would you be driving?

I have a car, I would need to bring Kisu my other jindo with me to make sure any dog I may adopt gets along with her.

That would be great. I don't drive, but I'm sure someone can post driving directions.

Anyone?

Does anyone have driving directions from Songtan (Osan AB) to the shelter? That would be a HUGE help!!!

Tim posted this information in the past:

If you're wanting to go on a Saturday the best thing to do would be to drive to the Cheonan Asan KTX station and meet us there at 11am. You can then follow the shelter manager Mr Park in his van to the shelter.

If you're wanting to go on a different day look for one of the following places on your GPS:
- Oeam Folk Village in Asan
- the Songak Post Office
- the Songak branch of Nonghyup Bank.

Once you get to one of those places call the shelter manager Mr Park on 010 7788 8000 and he will come down in his van and get you.

Cheers

Hi, can you post some new pictures of Kisu and how she's doing? I remember her, and yes...she's gorgeous. In her last pictures, she was a rolly-polly puppy.

If you're using GPS, the shelter's coordinates are 36.709973, 127.019377.

As other posters have said though, it might be more convenient to meet volunteers at the KTX station as then you can be sure that someone will be there to show you around. You generally can't just show up at the shelter and take an animal away - the staff don't speak English and wouldn't have time to help you.

The shelter location on Daum local (http://local.daum.net/map/index.jsp?URLX=504124&URLY=891314&URLLEVEL=3&map_type=TYPE_SKYVIEW&map_hybrid=true&SHOWMARK=true)

And Google maps (http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=36.709973,127.019377&spn=0.003931,0.006899&t=h&z=17)

As the crow flies, the shelter is about 50 km from Osan.
