The Daejeon shelter still has some furry friends waiting for an amazing change in their lifes.
Please come and visit to meet them,there are so many sweet lovely doggies still ;)
They would be so happy being adopted by you :D

Maltese mix boy,if I remember correctly he is about 3years old.
Our friend Joo donated him a sweater as he was shivering.
About 4/5KG,quiet natured.

Another middle size dog is this friendly maltese mix,you have to meet him before you can tell.
Here is he on my knees,he is just too sweet :D

This dog is a bit too heavy but more because this dog stays in the cage and is a bit over fed.

This is a sad story,this little guy (about 2KG)lives in this shelter now for about 5years.
I don't understand why he is never adopted because he is just so adorable. Open your heart for this
little fellow so he can have a great life.

A shih tzu mix I think eventhough the fur is from a shih tzu I can see something maltese in them
( has to be adopted together) small size as well.

The ones in pink shirts were abandoned after the owner had to be hospitalized.

Yes from the pink clothes dogs I know the sad situation.They were brought
from a home direct to this shelter,its really sad.

I still hope that they will come to get him,he is such a sweet and good dog but Mrs Jung didn't seem to be
confident about that.

5 of the dogs are adopted or fostered yesterday. I guess I adopted the Shih-Tzu on the list here. She is now the prettiest dog in Seoul after two showers, one at the animal hospital and then another one at her new home. She is making snorting noise all the time but that must be her charm. anyway her temporary name is "MISS PIGGY" because she make lots of snorting noise and she does look very chubby. :):):):):). I am so glad that I got her.

We have the brown and white dog in the red t-shirt. He is very withdrawn, hasn't barked yet, but we did finally get him to walk yesterday! and he is starting to stand up straight and wag his tail! And last night he tried to steal Terry's beef jerky! Yay progress!

Scarlet. It's wonderful to hear that the lad you are looking after is doing well. He is very sweet. I think he is the healthiest one among the dogs we adopted or fostered last saturday, even if he has a problem with his leg. I am sure that he will be able to walk and run soon.
Annie, I have not yet taken any photographs of her but will do it tomorrow. So you will be able to see her soon. I may have to adopt another Shih-Tzu as my friend from Belgium, a couple with 4 kids, is keen on adopting one from a shelter. Their parents do have 2 of those breed, both of them were abandoned, in Belgium so they are familiar with those type of dogs. Fortunately they are living in a big house with a garden, which is quite rare in Seoul thesedays, so it would be good for the dog. I will check if there is a suitable dog for the family when I am there at the shelter on saturday this week.

Does anyone know any more about this dog? I've seen her/him in the video with about 5 other dogs in the same cage on the bottom tier. What kind of dog is s/he? And are all those dogs from the same family?

On which vedeo did you see the dog? If I am not mistaken this is a dog
from the ''shy and scared dogs'' or from the cage with dogs who are
''not adoptable'' because they tent to snap.

Oh and I think the dog is a mix Jindo and medium size. No the
dogs in those cages are not family.

Here are the photos of my dog I adopted last saturday. Not very good ones but at least they will give you some idea how "MISS PIGGY" is transformed after the showers. I was so suprised that she didn't have any problem settling down so quickly. No problems with doing the business except she made few mistakes, small ones, on my rugs but that doesn't bother me much. She will be trained pretty soon I hope. she occassionally go to the balcony, to spy on my neighbours ?, and sniff the spots where my previous dog used to do the business. Wish me luck

That is the crate of the snapping dogs though the one you mention
is a sweet dog (the 3smaller dogs snaps for sure) I will ask the people
who are going this saturday to ask mrs Jung from the shelter why
the bigger dog is caged there with the others.
Are you interested meeting this dog? I remember she/he ate from my
hand and was a shy dog.

But, does anyone know anything about this dog? Apparently he/she is in the snapping dog cages, but is said to be a shy, timid dog.
Does anyone know his/her age(ish) or temperment?
And is s/he a he or she?
Or if this dog is still there?

I haven't been able to go to the shelter yet because I don't live on the mainland. :( But for some reason I keep thinking about this dog, and would like to know about herim (her or him).

the dog is still there and is just a bit shy but will actually lick your hand! although like pukka said it is in the bitting cage i beilieve this is only becuase it had not gottne much human contact but the past week that i went they let them out and the dog was sweet! altough i am not at all sure of the age i bet it is some sort of jindo mix. it is not at all big but maybe twice the size of a fat shih-tzu. she is sweet she just needs some time! beilieve me! i bet you, you would fall in love with this one...:D
