In October 2007, I went to the Daejeon shelter to pick a dog I would like to foster on Tim's advice that I should actually have a connection with the dog. It was a very emotional experience for me but I walked away with the cutest little dog. She seemed to pick me more than anything. She seemed like such a happy dog with so much life. I brought her home and it was like we were instant best friends. My boyfriend also admitted that she was a rather special dog shortly after. However, he was insistent that I not get attachted as fostering would be best for us. I agreed as I knew we would only we in Korea for 10 more months. Within a few weeks though I knew I could never part with her. She brought a smile to my face when nothing else could. Saydi was and is my Korean angel and my boyfriend sooned caved out of his love for both of us. I emailed Tim and told him I wanted to adopt her. So its official, Saydi is adopted and she will be moving back to Canada with us when we leave where she will meet my other dog, Pierce, a big and beautiful golden retriever, and hopefully her new best friend!
