Hello Everyone,
Just want to update for Form of Korean quarantine office. As I mentioned before, they were going to change the form to their own form to avoid any confusing but these days, just local certificates are accepted in almost every station in Korea. Only Incheon branch (at cargo terminal) they are strongly recommending the form now but still accept the local form so there is no problem with the local forms until now.
And Im not sure people know or not, but many people think quarantine inspection (issuing int'l health certificate) can be done in only Incheon Airport. But this is not true. There are many branches here in Korea and you can search the branch on their website.
Especially people in Seoul, there are quarantine office in Seoul (west Seoul) and also at Kimpo International airport. So no need to go to the quarantine st. in Incheon Airport. Also if people fly with pets and need to get the quarantine inspection in advance, then they can visit the office in Seoul or Kimpo Airport branch then issue the int'l health certificate there. Sometimes people dont have much time to come by quarantine office at the airport due to check in time or any other reasons, so if you want to make it more smoothly, then it is the good way to get it a few days before flying.
But please remind int'l health certificate is valid for 7days OR 10 days (depends on the destination country's regulation) so if you want to get it earlier, then should think about this time frame.
Additionally, Currently Seoul and Kimpo Branch dont have any problem with local certificate form. :) They dont mention about their own form at all.
Thanks and if anything else required, please let me know.
P.S Some people think this quarantine inspection and getting int'l health certificate is not mandatory, but this is Mandatory here in Korea. This should be done before flying and all airlines will required to see this paper. - carry on, excess baggage and manifested cargo.
