I am dealing with them with pleasure and right now i am preparing to go to
Europe with at least 4pets! They are helpful in every way.

I'm planning on going to India for 3 weeks after my contract is up and would like to have Louise sent to my parents' house (where I'll end up for a bit after teaching here)... Have you used this company before? I want to make sure Louise is in good hands.

Correct,I am going to Europe with 2cats and 2dogs so I will travel
them with this company since I can only bring 1pet on my own
flight.I did a research in Amsterdam and people has been using this
company with satisfaction. Be aware that cargo goes by KG.
Call that company and ask for Gina, her english is very well. From
what I found out is that actually all airlines who are IPATA
members, you can trust.
We used this company to ship our St Bernard and one of our other dogs over. We used their door to door service since we had the dogs shipped after we were already here in Korea. They and the service they supplied were great and the dogs arrived in good shape, just without their collars as the folks in Dulles decided to take them off for safety and did not attach them to the outside of the kennel. We insisted on shipment through Amsterdam with a short stay there where they were exercised and let out of their kennels for a night so that they would not spend 16 - 20 hours in their kennels. Great service and we will be using them to ship our brood back in tow years, just be prepared to spend a bit of money!

Hey Bill, how much was it to ship the animals over? And was the door to door service was it picked up from where you had left the dog to your new residence?
I have a "large" dog here in Korea and I live quite a ways from the airport and I would not want to put the dog in the bottom of the airport shuttle. So if they have a service where they pick up the dog and take it to the airport and deliver the dog to my home back in the US, that would be great and a service that is worth the money, at least I think so.
I'm right down the road from you at USAG Humphreys (Pyongtaek area) and yes they picked the dogs up at my house in Maryland and delivered them to my house here (Pyongtaek). Original quote for three dogs (one at 195 pounds, one at 50 pounds and one at 25 pounds) including them building a custom kennel for Moose (the St. Bernard) was $7400. final cost when we decided to only ship two was just over $6500. Moose alone was 5K with a portion of that going to the kennel construction. I believe about 1K of that was the pick up and drop off and I am sure a portion was for the stay in Amsterdam we asked for. It seems ot be cheaper the more animals you ship as the transportation charges are close to the same regardless of how many pets. We shipped our Boston Terrier seperate and ended up doing it without the assistance of the company (big hassle, but much cheaper). He did not show up in quite as good a shape and it took a long time to calm him down as he had been in the kennel for about 17 hours by the time he cleared customs and we still ended up having to hire a company at Incheon to take care of the customs paperwork.

Yes,best is call this agent 4/5months before you leave.Every case is different.
From SKorea the paperwork etc is cheaper. My cats are about 5/6KG and my
dogs about 3KG and I will pay much less than Bill mentioned.

Hey Pukka,
Yes, you are correct on the cost. I called on Friday and I spoke with Maya, the quote for sending Jin back to the US would be about 700,000W about 300 for he cargo cost and about 400 for their processing and fees. All in all, not too bad of a cost.

Hi there.
When I am done with my own preparing I will let you know.
The processing going to Europe is different but the cost of
traveling should be the same.
You can make it even cheaper if you get the paperwork done
by your own local vet etc etc ... you don't need much to bring
your pet back to USA or Canada.
A health letter from your local vet
health book with shots
Rabies shots
The right travel carrier important !)
One night boarding with this agent is free so you can bring the
dog by yourself before the flight with a taxi if you live in Seoul is
cheaper than the picking up by the company.
Only if you live in another city it is better they come to pick up
your dog.
Some people consider taking their pet on the bus to the airport
which is really cruel.
There are so many services who will take you to the airport for a
fixed price.
I'll keep you posted on this topic.

Hey Pukka,
If you can let me know of any services that will take you to the airport for a fixed price that would be great. I live in Suwon which is about a 45 min car ride from Seoul Station, aka about 55,000W... so the airport would be about 100,000W if not more from me. I look forward to the info.
Thanks

Hi there,
When we flew home with 2 dogs (each about 7kg), we used a call van that we found at the spot in Daejeon where the airport bus drops and picks up passengers. There were several vans there, all with telephone numbers on the side of their vehicles. About a week ahead we called one, booked a ride and informed them we had 2 dogs. It was no problem, the driver was super nice, and the van was spacious enough for the whole family plus the luggage, with no crowding. It cost us about 140,000 from Daejeon for the one-way ride and 170,000 won-ish for each dog's one-way plane ticket to Canada (no relationship to the call-van).
In previous years when we were returning to Korea after summer vacation we drove ourselves to Incheon Airport and left our car in long-term parking, once for 6 and once for 9 weeks. The cost of parking was under 200,000won each time, so we felt that it was on par and more convenient than using a call van in both directions. Knowing now how easy the call-van was, though, I highly recommend using one. Just tell them about the dog when you book. I don't know the company we used, but if you go to whereever in Suwon the airport bus does dropoffs, I'm fairly certain you'd be able to find one.
