There's someone on Dave's ESL Cafe that has been PMing about adopting a dog (named Renzo or something) but this person only wants a dog for a few months and has no problem dumping the dog somewhere before they leave. This person's idea is that it's better for a dog to have a good life for a few months than none at all. Which is true, but they don't seem to understand that they dog will be suffering through this.
So if this person contacts anyone about a dog, I would think twice before allowing them to adopt.
